tyler practically threw himself at josh, hugging him tightly. they both felt like they were going to cry. despite them being neighbors for around a year, this is the first time they're meeting. josh hugged tyler back, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.

"why did it take you so long?" josh said, his voice barely above a whisper. "what do you mean?" tyler sniffed, looking up at josh. "you know, us meeting." josh said.

i thought for a moment, and on why i never introduced myself before. we were neighbors, after all. "i...i don't know?" i said, making it seem like a question. josh grabbed my hand, and we started walking towards his house. i was a blushing mess, and it felt like i lost all sense of being able to talk.

"why are we going to your house?" i squeaked, scared that i might mess up my words. josh looked at me, and smiled. "i'm getting you cleaned up, your bruises look bad and the cut on your lip might get infected."
