MACARIA KNEW THE price of revenge. She knew what would happen: she would spend her days rotting in a small cell, surrounded by countless of dementors, and nursing her untreated broken right hand. She didn't bother to think about the possibility of getting away. Everything pointed to her. The entire Slytherin common room heard her promise destruction to them. They saw the scratches and blood on Riddle's face before his friends managed to pull her off.
Macaria knew what would happen to her at the end of her final year of Hogwarts. She would be leaving in chains, cackling as all mourned their broken bodies. She came to piece her life would be ending. Spending most of your summer looming over the grave of your murdered brother left more than enough time for reflection and planning.
Riddle and his friends took the only thing she cared about away from her. No one believed her. He was ashamed, they all said. He killed himself to protect his family from the embarrassment he would bring. They were wrong. No one believed her. These boys took the only she loved and plunged her into a hell of darkness and hate.
