I sped down the hall at Jughead's side, trying to keep up with him as he tried to lose me in the crowd of students transitioning from classes to lunch. We reached a locker and jughead sighed, annoyed that I was still with him and a pink-haired girl popped up beside him. She smiled at me and I felt my heart stop. She looked up at Jughead and spoke. I'm not quite sure what she was saying, but her voice was like honey. "You're Cheryl Blossom, right?" She asked, snapping me out of my trance. "Yeah, and you must me Toni. I've heard nothing about you, but I wish I had." I said, leaning against the locker. Jughead rolled his eyes, walking in the other direction. She must've rejected him or something because he looked absolutely humiliated. I wanted to go help him but I was in a deep conversation with Toni about how she wanted to go and see It Chapter 2 because it was playing at the drive-in and she hadn't seen it yet. "Well, if you want we could go together." I spat out, mentally slapping myself. "It's a date." She smiled, walking away after putting her number in my phone. After shaking off the initial shock I chased after Jughead, not finding him I popped into the bathroom, where Betty and Veronica sat on the floor in front of the toilet. Betty was sobbing hysterically, and I asked Veronica if she could handle it so I could go find Jughead. She nodded and I hugged Betty, giving her a kiss on the cheek, leaving a red lipstick mark and walking out. I ran straight into Jughead's chest. "Why are you trying to go into the girl's bathroom, creep?" I ask. "Is Betty is there? She looked sick last time I saw her." "No, she's puking her guts out, now go away." "I just want to see her." "Jughead, stop," I said, but he pushed past me, walking into the bathroom.
3rd person POV
"I feel so stupid, Ronnie. I thought I just had a stupid moment, but I really-" was all Jughead heard before principal Honey pulled him out of the bathroom. "I really like him and I don't want him to date, Toni. I don't." She sobbed. "Are you talking about Jones?" A pink-haired girl asked. "Yeah, " Betty sniffled. "No, he was to hung up on some Betty chick so I told him ks wasn't going to happen. But I have a date with Cheryl Blossom this weekend." "See, Betty. Jughead only has eyes for you." "The Betty. Wow, you are even more beautiful than I thought. Jugheads a lucky guy." Toni said with a smile. "You should talk to him, Honey just caught him trying to get in here to see if you're okay, he explained it and Honey let him out. Go to him." Betty nodded and Veronica sprayed breath spray in her mouth and passed her a mint. Betty ate the mint and grabbed a piece of gum. She walked out and Cheryl pointed her in the direction of Jughead. She ran up to him, hugging him and wrapping her legs around his waist. "Hi, " he chuckled. "Hi." "What?" He asked, and Betty noticed she was staring at him. "I like you, Jug. I really like you." He smiled, hugging her tighter. "Betty Cooper. Will you be my girlfriend?" Betty nodded and hugged him again.
