Mackenzie's p.o.v

"I'm sorry Mrs. Ziegler but I'm afraid Mackenzie has brain cancer," the doctor announced. I couldn't move. I was speechless. Finally, tears sprung to my eyes.

I looked over to my mom. She wasn't crying! I could possibly die and she's not shedding a tear. God.

"I'll leave you guys to talk about it," the doctor said and left the room. I whipped my head around to my mom.

"Why aren't you crying," I quivered. Tears fell down my cheeks. She didn't answer.

"WHY AREN'T YOU CRYING!" I screamed more tears rushing down my face.

Anger flashed in her eyes. "MACKENZIE!" she screamed back. I just broke down. Right there. I buried my face into my hands and cried.

This can't be.
