What causes fear? It's a strange notion, isn't it?
In this world, fear is caused by a personal demon and an object. Personal demons don't ever leave, they stay. Maybe, they get bigger or smaller, maybe even become less and less visible until you can no longer see them but they never leave. Someone might be able to ignore the demon but it will stay until you die, waiting for you to take it's place.
