Chapter 1 Cora's parents

Cora's POV
I wasn't working at the time because I was only a little girl and neither was my father Charles , but my mother Lillian was just because someone had to and also I think it was so she could avoid my father but maybe I was wrong .My parents were together for a long time like about 20 something  years but they always seemed miserable or at least my mother did, she would always end up coming back late at night and my father would leave to go who knows where when my mother was at work and so I would always stay with my grandmother Victoria until my mother or father came to pick me up and usually it was my mother that did, but I was later going to learn some secrets that we're gonna resurface and I just didn't know it yet.
