Jadens's POV:

I saw the cars.
i never felt nervous but this..
this was different.

i didn't want y/n to get hurt.

"ant, go tell mama."

anthony nodded and ran to the back.
she and y/n ran out to see them.

"we arent going down without a fight."

mama told us to get our guns.
we grabbed our guns.
y/n grabbed one too.

i pulled her aside.

"what are you doing? you're gonna get killed."

"im helping, you don't own me jaden! im not your pet, okay?"

i didn't know what to say.

"stop trying to boss me around! im a person!"
"your gonna get hurt-"
"i dont care! okay? i dont belong to you! ill do whatever i want."

i paused.

"im sor-"
"no, save your apology, we're done."

"what?"
"we're done! i cant keep letting you boss me around! "y/n, do this. be careful, y/n." im not a child, i dont need a babysitter!"

she looked mad.
y/n walked off to talk strategy with the others.
then i heard josh say something.

"you shouldn't have been such a dick."

i grabbed him.

"shut the fuck up, you don't get it."

i let go and went to plan as fast as we could.

we were at the side of the house.
they were loading up their guns.

anthony shot at them.

they looked taken aback.
we all began firing bullets left and right, back and forth.

we were crouched behind different pieces of cement as to not get shot.

i saw y/n slowly inch out from behind the large sleet of cement.

i pulled her back.
"what the hell are you thinking, y/n?"

i could barely hear myself over the sound of yelling and gunfire.

"i hate you, jaden! you ruined my life! i wish i never met you at that stupid asylum!"

she got up and slowly stood up and began to shoot.

she then ran out in front of them, shooting furiously.

then, almost as if in slow motion.
i saw a bullet fly towards her.

i saw it hit her in the shoulder.
"y/n!"

the gunfire stopped for a moment.
i ran out to her and held her.

griffin grabbed me.

"we cant just leave her!"
"we have to go, j!"

griffin yanked me up and we ran to the van where mama was waiting in the passenger seat.

i got in the back and noticed anthony was bleeding out of his forearm.

"shit, ant are you okay?"

josh was hunched over, removing the bullet from his arm.

"he'll be fine."

anthony winced and josh pulled out a large bullet.

we sped off.
griffin turned up the radio to hear the news.

"today, the missing year old, y/n l/n was shot and killed during an intense shootout with police.
it was said that..."

everything went quiet.
dead.
dead..

her last words to me?

"i hate you jaden! you ruined my life! i wish we never met at that stupid asylum.."
