Yugi's POV

*Beep. Beep. Beep. Be-*

"Shut up." I groaned, my voice groggy from sleep. I rolled over and felt around my bed covers, looking for my phone to switch the alarm off. Once I found it I sat up and squinted my eyes at the bright screen, tapping the snooze button before falling back into the bed with a sigh.

I pulled the covers up to my chin and snuggled into my pillow, as sleep began to pull at my conscious. I was ripped from my sleep by my door slamming open and an angry older brother barging in. "Get up. Get up. Get up!" Heba yelled.

"Go away Heba." I stuffed my face into my pillow as he stormed across my room and ripped the curtains open, causing the sun to hit me full force.

"No. Get up Yugi."

"It's Sunday, leave me alone." Came my muffled response.

"No it's not, it's Monday. Now I will say this one more time. Get. Up." Heba demanded.
I lifted my head up from my pillow and looked at my brother through tired eyes. "Hang on, say the first bit again?"

"It's Monday."

My eyes shot open as I sat up. "I have to get ready for school!"

"That's what I was trying to tell you." Heba grumbled and walked out the door. I hastily pushed my covers off me, scrambling out of bed and straight into the bathroom.

Today was my first day at a new school as a transfer student from Egypt. I had been homeschooled my whole life in Egypt, and although Heba had explained what his school was like, I had no idea what to expect.

Heba had a slight advantage over me as had been the only one my parents could afford to send through school.

I quickly got dressed into my knew school uniform and decided on trying to tame my mess of hair. I finished doing my hair and ran downstairs to see my brother sitting at the table and my grandfather making breakfast.
"Good morning grandpa." I said as I walked down the stairs.
"Morning Yugi. Are you excited for your first day at school?"
"Yeah I s'pose." I replied but on the inside I was scare out of my wits. I walked over the him and took a piece of toast.
"You two better get going. Have a great day!"
"We will grandpa!" Heba called from the door. "Come on Yigi, we'd better get going if we don't want to be late."
We walked all the way to school and when we got tho the gates we had to go different ways.
"Bye Yugi. Hope you have a great first day." Heba said with a smile.
"I will Heba. Bye." I said with a small wave as I walked off to my building. I entered the building and started trying to find the office. All of a sudden someone ran straight into me. I fell over and hit the ground with a thud. Well this looks like my day for hitting the floor. Great...
"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" The person who bumped me apologised, helping me up off the floor. He had blond hair that covered some of his eyes and he was very tall. Like, not just talk to me because I was a migit, but as in tall to everyone else as well.
"I'm sorry." He said again.
"No worries, it doesn't matter. I'm Yugi by the way."
"Joey. Hey, are you related to Yami and Atem Sennen by any chance?"
"Uh not that I know of. Anyway, I'm new, could you tell me where the office is?" I asked.
"Yeah no worries, I'll take you."
I smiled. "Thanks Joey." We walked down the hallway until we got to the office. Joey got my schedule for me and then we started walking again.
"Hey what classes do you have?" Joey asked, taking out his own schedule. He had a look at mine and a smile appeared on his face.
"We have first and third period together and then both lunch periods."
"Oh great, I have to spent the whole day with you." I said with a slight chuckle. In return he only pouted causing me to get the giggles. (A/N ok this has nothing to do with the story but you need to go look up ross lynch giggling on YouTube. His giggle is just the cutest!) We walked into the classroom and took our seats. I looked at the timetable and groaned. Ugh. Maths. Joey and I sat talking until the teacher walked into the room.
"Hello class, today we have a new student. Please raise your hand." The teacher said. I slowly raised my hand as the whole class looked at me and I started to blush. I'm very shy and don't like too much attention.
"This class, is Yugi Moto. Now I expect you to make him feel welcome. Now everyone open your text book to page 135 and work on the problems." We all opened our books and started working.
"Hey Yug. Psst. Yugi. Hey, hey Yugi." Joey whispered across to me. I was about to reply until I saw the teacher walking over to me.
"So Yugi, I see you've already met Mr. Wheeler over here." Joey just made a cheeky smile and went back to his 'work'. I know he's not really working. I saw his sheet before and all he's doing is drawing little pictures. I just nodded.
"Well I suggest you both get back to work." He said, mainly to Joey. Just then the bell rung and we all left for the first lunch period.
"You gonna be alright getting to your locker?" Joey asked as we walked out the door.
"I'll be fine Joey, just go find your friends."
"Thanks Yug!" He yelled running off. I walked to my locker and got out my lunch. I really don't understand why we have two full hour lunch periods? Oh well. I decided to go eat lunch on the roof seeing as I don't know anyone other than Joey and he's gone off with his friends. I got to the roof floor and found a spot to sit down. I ate my lunch and drifted off to sleep...
