Meanwhile, in Delhi, an Emergency Management Group(EMG) was set up..

The group was chaired by the cabinet secretary, Mr.Prabhakar...

The other members included head of the Research and the Analysis wing, chief of the National security wing,
Deputy Prime Minister & Home Minister, Foreign minister and the civil aviation minister..

The meeting was organised by National Security Advisor Mr. Jishra, who was also Prime Minister's chief security advisor..

Defence Minister Mr.Shankar was a prominent part of the group and was largely accused during the decision making process..

The government was intimated of the hijack at 4.40 pm..

The EMG learnt about it at 5.30 pm and decided to meet at 6.00 pm..

Until then, they had no clue about where the plane was..

Mr.Shankar, after checking the GPS of the aircraft, suggested for a counter- operation..

He knew that the plane was not inside the Indian boundaries..

Yet, he couldn't exactly decipher where it was..

The hijackers must be from the technical side, he guessed..

Several hackers tried to decode the GPS but,they couldn't..

The army house was surrounded by the press..

The officials were under pressure..

He generally told them the issue..

He intimated them that there was no information from the side of hijackers..

As usual, the press started triggering him with absurd questions which he ignored with a smile..

He had no options though..

He cut off the press meet in a jiffy and went back to look after a solution..

After an argument for 2 more hours, they couldn't come to one conclusion..

To their good luck, the first phone call, the hijacker called them..
