Applejack's POV

I paced up and down in my room waiting for Rarity. "What have I got myself into?" I said aloud, but quietly. I couldn't believe I had agreed to this. It was Rarity! The most popular and prettiest girl at school. And I was going to her house! There were so many thoughts and I was considering backing out. But there was a knock at the door and I had no choice. I walked down the stairs and slowly opened the door. Sure enough Rarity stood there wearing a tight purple skirt that she wore much higher than her waist and a white blouse with ruffles at the neck. If I'm honest, she looked really nice. "Hello", she said happily. I wasn't quite sure what to say so I simply smiled and walked out, closing the door behind me. "Are you alright?" She asked as we walked down the front path. I nodded my head, still not feeling very confident. She smiled noticing how shy I was and gripped my hand. At first I just let it happen, but I then wrapped my hand around hers. I glanced over and saw that she was blushing. It was a little strange, but it seemed perfect. We then reached her car and our hands pulled away as if it had never happened. Rarity opened the door and climbed inside. She gestured with her head to the other door. I walked around and opened the car door, climbing inside clumsily. She giggled and rolled her eyes. I laughed too and then we were off on the road. We never talked the entire journey, but it was nice to be alone with Rarity. Once we arrived at her house she finally spoke. "My sister is staying with one of her friends and my parents are out so it's just us", she blushed a little "Sorry, that sounded um".

"Don't worry about it", I said iwith a laugh. We both got out of the car and she unlocked the front door. I stepped inside and instantly felt out of place. There was a pure white carpet lining the hall and the walls were painted a deep purple. Everything was so perfectly done. "D-do you want me to take my boots off?" I asked, not wanting to ruin anything. Rarity eyed my boots and then nodded. I slipped them off and left them by the door. She then grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs. "Hey! Slow down!" I said, laughing as she pulled me along through her house. It sounds crazy, but watching her smile gave me butterflies and my heart would beat faster. When she finally stopped running we stood outside a large purple door with "Rarity" written at the top in white. "This is my room", she said as she pushed the door open "If that wasn't already obvious". She giggled and I felt the butterflies again. I couldn't help but smile. I followed her inside and shut the door behind me. Her room was very neat and tidy. I then looked back to Rarity who was arranging hair clips on her vanity table. She pulled out the stool and patted it. I sighed, walked over and sat on the seat. "Your hair is a beautiful color", she said as she took my hat off. She then ran her fingers through my hair, catching a few lugs and knots. "Um, when was the last time you brushed it properly?" she asked and I answered with a simple shrug of my shoulders. She gasped and picked up her brush "I apologise if this hurts, but we simply must sort this out!" And with that she began to brush my hair. It didn't really hurt, but she did have to pull quite hard. I could vaguely hear her mumbling something under her breath. Anyway, after about 10 minutes Rarity stepped back and admired my now smooth, golden hair. "Perfect", she said with a smile. "It ain't that bad now is it!" I said, generally surprised at how nice my hair looked. "Thanks sugarcube!" I stood up and walked over to Rarity, hugging her. I felt her stumble backwards, but she found her balance and hugged me back. "Now", she began "Let's get you in some new clothes!"

If I'm honest, I had a really great time. Sure I had to wear the odd dress here and there, but it was fun. I walked down the stairs followed by Rarity. "Do you really have to go?" She asked as I slipped on my boots. "Yeah, I really should get going", I replied. I turned and reached for the door handle, but Rarity grabbed my wrist. I turned back around and she kissed me. It was really weird yet I had the urge to wrap my arms around her and kiss her back. But I didn't. I stood there with her hand around my wrist and her lips pressed against mine. When she pulled away we stood, staring at each other for what seemed like forever. I then slowly reached for the door handle and ran out. I didn't look back, not once. I just walked down the road, back to the farm.
