"In case it's unclear. You try to escape. You so much as scratch that glass..." Fury presses a button which opened a hatch, causing a massive gust of wind preparing to suck the cell down to the deeps below. The journey to get the God inside the Heilcarrier, let alone out of Germany, was a wreck. Tony and Steve had to physically restrain Natasha after the illusion stunt Loki pulled. Though it didn't stop the Russian Spy from getting a few good hits in. Only then afterwards they ran into a man who claimed to be the God's brother, Thor. Thor as in the God of Lightning, Thor.
"Thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" Fury closed the hatch and pointed to Loki, "Ant," then he pointed back to the button. "Boot"
Loki couldn't help but let out a smirk, "It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me"
"It was built for something a lot stronger than you" he informed him.
"Oh, I've heard," Loki turned his attention to a small video camera, giving the Spy and Captain a clear view of him. "Your little science experiment surprisingly knows quite a lot about analysis"
Steve looked away from the monitor at that.
"The mindless beast, makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you?" Loki asked.
"How desperate am I?" Fury asked baffled, "You threaten my world with war. You kidnap an innocent child and steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace and you kill 'cause it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did"
"Ooh. It burns you to come so close," he laughed. "To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is"
Fury shrugged, "Well, you let me know if Real Power wants a magazine or something" he taunted him, walking away.
Right as Loki looked back at the camera Natasha to turn it off, done, "He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce broke the awkward silence.
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked the God's brother who met up with them on the helicarrier.
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract" Thor, who joined them at Shield in exchange for his brother, Loki, once they found what they needed, exclaimed.
Steve raised a brow, "An army? From outer space?" He asked unconvinced. Yes he has a clone but even that sounded a little far fetched for the older man.
"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for" Bruce put the pieces together.
They watched as the muscular God's eyes widened, "Selvig?"
"He's an astrophysicist" Bruce explained to the God.
"He's a friend" Thor corrected him.
"Loki has him under some kind of spell," Nat paused. "Along with two of ours"
Steve let out a sigh, "This still doesn't explain why he took Diana. He must need her for something, otherwise he would've actually brought her to Germany instead of toying with us" Steve explained.
