In the club the good vibes flow like a virus, but a good one. There's love in the air, all hyped up and ready to give us a good time. There were many bodies dancing like no one was watching, the whole club was smelling of sweat.
After coming in, we all went to the bar and sat on the stool. I saw that today it was Sky's shift.
"Hey girls, what do y'all want? " she asked us all.
I ordered a non-alcoholic beverage as it was my chance to drive so I couldn't get drunk even if I wanted to. Jinx, Briar decided to go to the dance floor. Both of them knew that they couldn't drag me and Raven if we didn't want to go so they both looked towards Selene, who was backing up slowly. They both were like predators catching their prey and poor Selene reluctantly got dragged to the dance floor. I was watching this in amusement.
I swept my gaze over the nightclub to see something interesting and suddenly felt that someone was watching me. I looked towards the direction from which I felt the gaze was coming and widened my eyes slightly due to the shock but quickly changed it to the my expressionless face. My eyes suddenly caught five figures in the shadows, sitting on the sofa. They were all in the VIP section, which was on the first floor and their room was encased in a glass box.
I nudged Raven and told her to look in their direction. Her reaction was the same as mine.
"What a coincidence" she said while smirking. I had to admit I hadn't thought that I would see them here. At this time, I was glad that I had put in my contacts due to which both my eyes were smokey grey.
"Remember if we have any interaction with them, we shouldn't indulge anything about ourselves " she slightly nodded and went towards the dance floor. Soon she disappeared in the vast sea of people dancing probably to warn the others. I looked towards them again and my eyes collided with Acacius his blazing eyes looked towards me as if he could see my soul and read my mind. I didn't want to back down so I smirked and continued looking towards him, trying to figure him out. We both didn't want to back down first but he averted his gaze when his his friends said something to him.
After the gaze was off of me, I felt like I could finally breath. I continued looking towards him to see if he had my locket but was soon disappointed. As I was going to look away something on his neck caught my attention, it was very small and hidden beneath a layer of cloth but I caught it. It was definitely my locket! The lights in the club reflected on it making it easy for me to caught sight of it. Now I just had to think of a way to retrieve it from him, without alerting him.
I was soon distracted from my thoughts when someone tapped my shoulder, I looked beside me and saw Sky beside me, ahhh looks like her shift is over. She looked towards me with a slight smirk and traced the length of my arm sensually. One thing I forgot is that she was a lesbian and had her eyes on me. She took my hands in her hands and looked towards me sultrily. I just looked towards her blankly and pull out my hands from her grasp.
"Awwww, I can't even remember the number of times you've rejected me till now." she pouted sadly.
"Oh, come on. You're just trying to make me feel guilty for rejecting you way before" I narrowed my eyes while continuing with a trace of teasing smile "so can u pls drop the act and stop harassing me "
"Hmph, whatever. It's your loss" she turned her head from me. I silently laughed at her tactics
"How is Kyla? " I asked while smiling, she turned towards me while laughing awkwardly and scratching her forehead.
"When did you know? " she grumbled " I wanted to surprise you". I laughed and wriggled my eyebrows, " why? jealous of my information network? I smirked.
" Who is jealous? Your information network are just some damn snitches. Well to answer your question she is fine and the perfect girlfriend one could ask for" she said with a lovesick face. I acted like I was going to vomit and she slapped me lightly. We both laughed " I'm glad to hear it. You deserve the best" I said with a genuine smile.
"Yeah, Sky I actually need your help with something" I told her about what I was thinking and she agreed with me. Sky is also one the organisation's agents but she only goes on a mission sometimes.
I watched her weave through the crowd to make her way towards the VIP rooms. She soon reached Acacius and co. One thing Sky knows best is slight of the hand, she can basically pickpocket anything right under your nose if you are not paying enough attention to your surroundings.
I watched the scene unfold while sipping my drink. Sky soon reached her target. She sat on Acacius's lap while placing her hands on his chest. I observed his expressions but it remained unchanged. Sky soon reached her target and was just going to take the locket and I watched with hidden excitement.
As soon as her hands touched the locket, her hands were caught in slightly bigger hands. I sweared out loud, I knew it wouldn't be so easy to take a locket from him but I still wanted to try. But I still took this chance because I knew that Sky could think of something.
I turned around and right at this moment, I felt so tired that I just wanted to relax without a care in the world. I swirled the the drink in my hands and looked at the ripples in my the drink.
I kept the drink on the counter with a thud and went to the washroom. As soon as I returned, I heard a crash coming from the direction of the dance floor.
