Tsukishima Headcanons

I headcanon tsukki as autistic! I self project on my kins so naturally, here we are. A few reasons I hc him as autistic are:

• he's very touch averted, doesn't let anyone other than yams touch him for more than a millisecond because he has known him his whole life and he's gotten used to it.

• very blunt and cold, not very empathetic but he tries his best and shows he cares in his own special way.

• doesn't understand jokes a lot of the time, hates small talk, gets straight to the point

• huge love for music, constantly seen with headphones on which implies he has sensory processing issues and music helps to ground him and make him feel good

• doesn't understand why people get super emotional/excited etc. Over things, basically doesn't understand hinata/noya's behaviour

• prefers to be alone, very introverted

• his special interest is dinosaurs 🥺🥺 (slight spoiler for the manga) he literally works at a museum in the time skip, he gets to see dinosaurs every day 😭💖

• he's not a very expressive person, he rarely shows emotion but he's still doing his best.

This headcanon is very close to me and I really love it a lot. I think tsukki is 100% autistic coded. Since Tsukki is such a huge kin (possibly my highest) I really see me in him a lot, and obviously because I have autism I hc him as autistic as well. He has so many of my traits! I wonder if there are others who kin tsukki as autistic? If any of you do, absolutely let me know! And if not, maybe after reading this you do now 😳

Okay okay onto other headcanons!

• his favourite music genre is indie/bedroom pop/underground stuff. Some of his favourite artists/bands are current joys, fox academy, the front bottoms, and two door cinema club.

• he fiddles with his fingers a lot and bites his nails, part of his anxiety/autism and he does it to calm down. He's trying to stop biting his nails though cause the skin around his fingers gets raw and then it hurts to play volleyball.

• he secretly really enjoys Kuroo, Bokuto, and Akaashi's company even though he insists Yamaguchi is his only friend. He smiles whenever he thinks about their time together during the training camp.

• he's a total film nerd. Loves indie/80's/coming of age movies etc. Some of his favourite movies include the breakfast club, kill your darlings, the Jurassic park franchise, and howl's moving castle.

• he has a strange relationship with his parents because of his autism but his brother has always been there for him 100% of the time, even when he felt like Tsukki was giving up on him after the VBall incident.

• he and Yamaguchi have sleepovers almost every weekend and they have been doing that since they were young. They always share a bed because Yamaguchi likes the warmth of Tsukki by his side. Tsukki got used to it pretty quick.
