Klaus awoke to the sounds of lots of footsteps in the halls. However nice the house was, it was very difficult to sleep when people were moving around. He sat up on his elbow, trying to not wake Dave, and looked out the window. The sun was up, but it was still early morning. They had slept for longer than Klaus had thought.
Out of nowhere, Five appeared in the middle of the room, already talking.
"Family meeting. Now."
"Five, I just woke up. Give me a–"
"Now, Klaus. I don't care about your beauty sleep, and neither does the apocalypse." He glanced at Dave, who was also starting to sit up. "I'll get Pogo to check on his wound. But it's a family meeting, okay?"
"Okay," said both of them, but before they even got the word out, Five had disappeared again.
Dave took a deep breath. "Does he always–"
"Yes."
Klaus sat up fully, his feet on the floor, and tried to wipe the sleep from his eyes. He was still fully dressed from yesterday, so he was pretty much ready to go and deal with whatever this was. Hell, maybe Five had figured out how to stop the apocalypse with the suitcase.
"I've been trying really hard, Klaus, but, seriously," Dave moved to sit next to Klaus, "is the world actually about to end?"
Klaus shook his head. "I'm as lost as you on that one. Five came back talking about the apocalypse almost a week ago, but hasn't actually given us any information. I guess this might be it. You'd better go to the clinic."
Dave nodded and got up, wincing as his shoulder moved. Pogo must've given him some pain meds yesterday, but they were definitely wearing off by now. Dave followed Klaus out of the room, but stopped in the doorway.
"Can you, uh, maybe show me how to get there again?"
