Sophie and her Rose

Chapter 1. Just a "Normal" day

The thought of being without her stayed in my mind all class time. The ticking of the clock in the class and my head down, thoughts rushing through my head of...her..She walked in the classroom and I heard the door shut which caused me to raise my head up and then see her, Sophie Palmer, A badass at best and way more popular then me who was just a outcast. Our eyes met and she hit me with a soft smile and headed to her seat. I blushed a bit and rested my head on my hand until,
Veronica:"Hey Rose!" My best friend does as she nudges my shoulder,
Rose(you):"Oh hey V "
Veronica:"Who are you asking to prom?"
Rose:"Oh uh- nobody..."
Veronica:"Oh? Well we could go together!"
Rose:"I mean... I don't really wanna go, I rather study-
Veronica:"Aww, please come! I'll be there and so will that girl you were looking at;)"
Rose:"Fine...just maybe"
Veronica:"Great! I-"
Veronica was interrupted by
...:"Hey ladies, what's going on?"
Veronica:"ugh just leave us alone Bradley, don't you have anything better to do?"
Bradley:"Hey! Come on I was just being friendly but you want to be rude, so I'll show you rude-"
Sophie comes up to the table and puts her hand on Bradley's shoulder
Sophie:"Just leave them alone, they don't wanna be bothered, especially by a jock who can't even get his life together now move!"
Sophie pushes Bradley out of the way
Sophie: "Sorry if he was bothering you girls, I'm Sophie, Sophie Palmer"
Sophie goes in for a friendly handshake
I shake her hand as I look in her eyes, my eyes gleam
Rose: "Nice to meet you!"
I've already known Sophie from when we were kids but like she even remembers though, it was a long time ago but Prom is tomorrow night and V wants me to go but I'm not sure, I don't really like parties or prom but I'll go cause my friend is and Sophie will be there.

End of the day
The bell rings, I get my stuff and hop up from my seat and head to the buses. Me and Sophie rode the same bus but most of the time she wouldn't be on the bus due to basketball practice but like I was worried about that, I just read a book, might look out the window from time to time and just put my earbuds in and listen to soft aesthetic music until this one song caught my eye

Girls like Girls. I decided to maybe listen to it all bus ride so I just relaxed in my seat that I have all alone
Sophie:"Hey Rose"
I take out my earbuds
Rose:"Huh?!"
Sophie:"Sorry to startle you, i just wanted to tell you something"
Rose:"Hm?"
Sophie:"I'm sorry how Bradley was being, he just gets like that but he really is a good person he just can't keep his cool"
Rose:"No no no it's fine, you don't need to apologize, people are gonna be rude, thats just how life goes"
Sophie:"Yeah, your right...but anyways what are you listening to?"
I offer her a earbud and she takes it then sits in my seat. Sophie looked at me and smiled, I'm pretty sure she likes my music! But she might not like girls
Sophie:"I love this song!, your taste of music is not so bad Rose"
She gives me a little nudge and I nudge her back
Sophie:"Can I play a song?"
Rose: "Sure!"
I give her my phone and she takes it and looks for a song

I look at her and wonder in my head ( Does she like girls too?)
