Soon the next morning arrived and the sun had just rise from it slumber. Louis was already up and dressed in more of a training clothes which was a shirt and shorts.He made his way downstairs, greeting his mother and father and sitting down for his breakfast, making small talk here and there."I heard that you have been thinking of taming the dragon that made its way to our castle yesterday." Jackie started slowly, face serious."That I have, mother. I'll be starting the training soon after breakfast." Louis said, watching Jackie's face morph into one of a worried mother."that's correct!" Louis says Excited we he fixed his shorts "I'm about to head down there now." Jackie frowns a bit as she looks at him. "Sweetie I don't think that's a good idea. That beast is unpredictable." She says."Dragons are quite, uh, ferocious creatures, and not quite suitable for the battle field" Jackson said, putting down his fork.
"I do know that." Louis concluded. "But I'm up for a challenge. He's been quite intriguing character I must say, and I have a strange feeling that we'll get on pretty well." He smiled back cheerfully and rushed out the door before his parents could say otherwise, making his way towards the back garden.The dragon was wide awake but still lays there as it looks at Louis calmly as he approached him. "today I will be taming you!" Louis says with so much confidence in his voice.
The dragons looks at him before looking around for anyone in sight before looking at Louis. "why would you take a beast that doesn't want to be tamed itself?" The dragon spoke.To say that Louis was surprised was an understatement. He staggered back in astonishment, pinching himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Did he just-talk? "Y-you can talk!" Louis said, quite weirded out. "H-how-?""I did ask you a question, quite rude that you didn't reply now isn't it." The dragon scoffed, much to Louis' amusement.
Louis looks at him shocked before clearing when throat "because we need to your ability to protect our kingdom from enemy." He says.
"And if I don't wish to be your weapon what will happen? Kill.the only dragon that still live this wretched lands?" The dragon spoke.Louis frowned at the question, thinking. "I'd let you be, and go on your way, if you wish it. You seem-er, to have human qualities too after all, and I could never hurt you.."The dragon sits up a small groans as he stretched "a man with sympathy for a dragon is considered a kindhearted of many " he says as he looks at him "and you have the heart of many."
Louis smiles softly "thank you." He says as he stares up at him "does that mean you will stay?"
The dragon closed his eyes before opening then again "come back here at midnight and you will have your answer by then."
Louis nodded silently, giving him a small smile of appreciation. He quietly made his way back to the castle, deciding that he'd be starting the training once the dragon had agreed to stay, cheerfully whistling a tune and greeting the generals he saw. He felt an odd sense of happiness that he couldn't quite decipher.The dragon lays down once again as he was in deep thought of what to do. That's when he heard two guards talking. "Tonight is when we kill king Louis." He says as they walks in front of the dragon.
"You just make sure to grab any valueables and we sneak right back out. It will be perfect."
The dragons frowns as he try to think of a quick plan of what to do to protect the young human.
Soon the sun sets and the moon rises and the dragon was anxious as he began trying to get the chains off to go find Louis. Louis was in his room getting ready to go see the dragon when the two guards came inside and locks the door from behind them. "Oh! Guards what can I do for you?" He asked sweetly as he looks at the two. "You can help us by dying." The guard says as he pulls out a dagger and rushed to him while the other guard grabbed what was made of gold or silver to be sold. Louis cried out in fear as he didn't have a weapon. He dodge it quickly yelled out for help.
The dragon heard the young man cries of help and grew angry. He began to struggle rougher and rougher as the stakes that was holding the chains down broke the chains fell off. The dragon flew up to Louis bedroom window and head straight to it before shifting into a human with his dragon tail and horns still out he crashed through the window.
Both the guards stilled in shock but refused to give up, one of them holding Louis down with his dagger dangerously close to his neck. Louis' eyes widened in fear, completely transfixed on the half human-half dragon creature before him, momentarily forgetting how to breath. The man had the deep emerald eyes he knew so well, curly brown locks up until his shoulder, frighteningly sharp horns and teeth that he bared out at the guard holding him down, tail lashing down hard upon the floor repeatedly. The man tackled the guard down in one swift motion, dagger hurling away out of the force of his push and hitting the his companion guard deep into his shoulder. He kept punching him repeatedly on his face, determined to kill him right on the spot for the big mistake he had done. Louis stood up immediately, mind rushing. He ran out to call the guards, heart pounding against his chest. "GUARDS, CAPTURE, NOW!"
They moved the two guards down to the dungeons, one bleeding from his shoulder and the other with a heavily displaced face. Louis waited patiently until they were done, now facing the queer man who had sat down, leaning against the wall."you're the dragon. Aren't you?" He asked as he wanted to confirm correctly.
The man nods softly "my name is harry. Harry styles." He says as he looks up at Louis with now a soft green eyes as he looks over Louis a bit worried "are you okay? Does your neck still hurts?"
Louis shook his head "I be fine. I promise." He says as he crouch down to harry and gently took his hand into his "thank you for saving my life."
Harry cheek began to red as he blush. "Y-you're welcome " he says as she looks at him. The bedroom door swings open quickly as Jackson and Jackie rushed inside before pulling louis away from harry and held him close.
"Who are you." Jackson says as he pointed his sword at him while Jackie held Louis close worried for him.
