My phone started ringing and I groaned before turning over and looking at the time.

It was now going on to 3:00 in the morning and Ari was calling

"What?" I answered

"Kay where you at?" Ari asked in a calming voice

"I'm still at the hotel why?" I asked yawning and the line went quiet

"Ari what's going on?" I asked stretching

"Kay..." she started

"Kash got shot" she finished and my heart dropped

"Bitch what ? He was just here what do you mean he g-

I felt myself begin to choke up and I took a deep breath

"is he okay?"I asked Getting out of bed

"We don't know, he was breathing when The ambulance got to him but he was unconscious and barely breathing." Ari explained

And I grabbed my keys before waking the girls up

"Nah Kay stay put, I'm coming to get to y'all, he got shot in his car and I don't want nothing happening to y'all" she said and I sighed before hanging up

I sat on the edge of the bed before covering my face with both of my hands and I felt my eyes begin to water up

This shit can't be real.

Once we got to the hospital Brian, Trey, and Jr was talking to a doctor and we jogged up to meet them

"What's going on?" Ari asked

"We have Keshawn in surgery, but we will need permission to do the second exam. The bullet barely missed his skull, he was lucky, but the bullet is so close to it, there's not a 100 percent chance that we can remove it without causing damage" he said and I sighed

"And if you don't remove it?" I asked

"The worst that could happen is he'll fall into a coma, if he does wake up he'll have to live cautious, The bullet could shift at any time into his scull" he explained and my leg started bouncing

"It's up to you" he said before leaving.

Ary walked off and Liyah nodded with her to comfort her and Ari pulled me into a hug 

"I'm sorry baby" she told me before running up and down my back

"I'm so sick of this shit" Brian said before throwing his backpack over his shoulder

Trey went to Gran Brian but he shook him off.

Trey sighed before turning towards us

"He not gon listen so ima go with him stay here with Kay"Trey told Ari and she nodded.

We both sat down and about ten minutes passed in silence before the same doctor came back out.

"He passed the first surgery, the second one is your choice" she said and I looked at Ari

"What you think?" I asked Ari and she shrugged

"I think he'd want the surgery, one wrong move with that bullet in his head Kay and he's gone, it's worth a try" she said and I nodded

He handed me a clipboard with some contracts and I made sure to flip through and read each section carefully. I made sure to ask questions about anything I didn't understand and I could tell he was getting frustrated. I didn't care, I didn't want anything to go down in that room that I didn't have knowledge of.
