Ensnared

I was ensnared
in the darkest hour
Never ending, on repeat
Every movement
Of my body and thoughts
was tiring and forced
The whole world
Saw the beautiful facade,
a mask covering my scars,
haunting ugliness enveloped me,
like an old love letter in a box
My interests on hold
and heart in abyss of bizarre
I've become unworthy,
not even a fable to be told
