[ABOUT TEN MONTHS UNTIL END OF THE WORLD]

"Hello?" An impassive female voice said as a woman opened the door slowly to the house in front of Jotaro. Jotaro knew immediately upon seeing this woman that she was Kakyoin's mother. She had the same shade of cherry red hair with a long hanging bang grown from her scalp, only on the opposite side of her face. Her eyes, as well, were the same pale lavender as her son's.

"Who are you?"

"Name's Jotaro Kujo. I'm a close friend of Noriaki's. I came by because he requested for me to bring him some of his art supplies."

". . . Oh? A friend of his? I do believe I remember him talking about a "friend" he had made while he was gone."

"That's me."

"Can you be so kind as to tell me what exactly happened to him? Why he was gone for fifty days and suddenly back with a donut hole in his stomach?"

"I . . ." Jotaro narrowed his eyes, biting his tongue. As much as he wanted to tell Kakyoin's mother everything about DIO and what happened in Egypt and during their conquest, he was given strict instructions by the SWF not to. He already knew well enough that he wouldn't do that anyway. Mrs. Kakyoin simply wouldn't understand anything he tried to tell her, mostly because she was a non-Stand user.

"I'm afraid I only know just as much as you do, which is equivalent to basically nothing."

A sad expression fell upon her face, but she opened the door enough for Jotaro to fit his large build through the framework. "Five minutes, Kujo. I want my Noriaki to be comfortable while he's in the hospital, but me and his father are talking about something very important."

"Alright," Jotaro answered, turning his back and waving his hand as a goodbye gesture. Kakyoin had already given him the information he needed, such as where his room was and what art supplies he wanted. Jotaro climbed up the long set of stairs and at once found the white door that symbolized it was Kakyoin's room. Dozens of cherry patterns covered the wooden surface of the door, varying in different colors and sizes, creating a nice contrast with the solid white door. Their texture suggested that the designs had been painted on.

Pushing the door open with a quiet creak, Jotaro stepped into Kakyoin's colorful, spacious room. Multiple posters hung on the wall, all advertising what Jotaro assumed were video games, such as F-Mega, Oh! That's a Baseball!, Super Mario Bros., and Yoshi. Jotaro smiled widely in his head, remembering the first two named titles. He always got a bit of enjoyment thinking back on previous fights with enemy Stand users. It always shot him with a sense of triumph and a hint of nostalgia, even when the crusaders' journey wasn't too long ago. It simply put Jotaro in a better mood to remember good memories when all six of them were alive and together. It was equally disturbing as it was satisfying to remember the battle with younger D'Arby, mostly because the doll of Kakyoin was freaky as hell, but the sensation of winning a simple video game by cheating with Joseph was always a pleasant feeling.

As for the room, the walls were bright emerald green, almost invisible against the posters. There was the average amount of furniture, as well as a desk, all colored a unique red-peach. A TV stood on a short dresser, a few different game consoles sitting next to it. On the walls were shelves stocked with games.

Jotaro made his way to the desk, picking up the bright red, multimedia spiral sketchbook that sat on top of it. Next he grabbed the brown leather case stuffed full with all of Kakyoin's main art supplies, including pencils and pastels. Kakyoin said he would ask for more things later on, but in his current state, his requested items would be enough for now.
