Zoey took the chairs off the the cart as she heard the yells of Clay

She quickly moved the cart away from the door, she unlocked it and and opened the door to see a while crowd of kids around him

She walked through the kids watching as clay grabbed the gun from the officer

Everyone gasped and backed away, but Zoey knew Clay

Not this Clay, but she still knew that he wasn't capable of shooting someone, killing someone even.

"Am I safer now?!" Clay said while holding the gun "huh? I've got your gun! I've got your gun! Am I safer? Look at me, I'm armed. Should I give this to a teacher so they can save their fucking class?" Clay said "Clay. Please" Bolan said "put the gun down. Well go to my office and we will talk this over, okay?" Bolan said

Clay then turned to Tyler

"Tyler...what happened to us, what did you do?" Clay said "what did you do?" Clay asked again

As clay put the gun down the officer tackled him into the floor

Clay started screaming repeatedly tears fell down Zoeys face then before she knew it another officer walked up to him

Then boom.

Zoey cried and got held back by security who didn't want her to go near the boy

Clay was getting taken away on a gurney

Clay looked over to Zoey as he saw the tears run down her face

She tried pushing through the officer but fell weakly, it didn't matter that the two got into a fight, what matters was that Clay was okay, and safe

"About the possibility of self-harm more than anything" Ellman said "are you? Concerned about the possibility of self harm?" Matt asked "I think it's not a bad idea that we continue observation for a period of time" Ellman said "from the police reports it does appear that some sort of breakdown took place at the school. The drill was incredible stressful and not just for clay" Ellman said "Clay wouldn't self harm, he couldn't even harm anyone..that drill was fucked up" Zoey said

Zoey then walked next to Justin as the both looked at Clay, Zoeys eyes now red and puffy

"How do you feel?" Justin asked "they're gonna keep me here, aren't they?" Clay asked and Zoey cried more knowing what the answer was "yeah" Justin said "we were arguing about it with them. We were yelling about it a minute ago" Justin said referring to him and Zoey

"So I guess...congrats you're are the full on good son" Clay said to Justin "see, he's still mad about our fight.." Zoey whispered to Justin while wiping tears that kept falling down her face she walked out and looked at clay from the door, Clay was completely ignoring her

She watched as Clay and Justin talked

Lainie and Matt then walked into the room and Mackenzie watched as they talked too

She didn't know how to feel about all of this, she knew Clay wasn't crazy, and she didn't want him to hold his grudge on her

After Matt, Lainie, and Justin walked out they looked at Mackenzie

"You can go in, we will be waiting in the car" Justin said to her and she nodded

She took a deep breath and walked inside the room

"Clay...I'm sorry" she started and he turned his head to face her "Zoey...it's my fault..I called you self centered when you're obviously not, and look, you're here for me right now even after our fight" Clay said and Zoey smiled weakly

"Support.." Clay said and Zoey smiled

They did this in the beginning of 5th grade, whenever they needed support they'll just say it

Zoey walked up closer to the boy and intertwined her finger with his, even if his wrist were tied onto the handle of the bed

"Your nails are white now?" He asked and Zoey laughed "yea, they've been white for a while..." she said and Clay nodded

"I know my parents are waiting on you...so I love you, and I'll see you whenever I get out" Clay said and Zoeys heart fluttered, she didn't care if Clay said it platonically, it still made her heart and stomach flutter

She hated having a crush on her best friend, she tried not admitting herself but at times she'd be thinking and she just admits it, then the next day she brushes it off

"I love you too, Clay" she said and she kissed his forehead, she always did that, Clay thought she did it platonically but really she meant it out of the love she had for the boy

"I...I might breakup with Ani" he said and sighed "what? Why?" Zoey asked "because..I mean...I guess I loved her, but I just feel like we would be better as friends" he said and Zoey nodded understanding the boy she ran her fingers through his hair as he talked to her

Soon he was down rambling about everything and he yawned "get some rest..." Zoey said and he nodded "see you soon" he said "see you soon" she said as their finger got un-intertwined and she walked out of the door heading to the car

Zoey was in class the next day barely paying attention to what was being said by the teacher

A knock was heard then the door was opened to reveal Justin

"I'm sorry to interrupt but I need to speak to Zoey, Bolan needs me to tell her something important" Justin said and the teacher looked at Zoey and she looked at him

He sighed and let Zoey go out

"What happened?" Zoey asked "Clay escaped" he whispered "are you serious?" She asked/whispered in disbelief

They whispered in the hall hoping no one could hear their conversation

"Yea and no one knows where he is" Justin said "he could be in danger" Zoey said "please don't put that information in my head" Justin said "you're right, that just freaks me out more, my anxiety" Zoey said and Justin shook his head "look, we can give him some time, and if you see or hear from him, text me" Justin said and she nodded "same for you" she said and Justin nodded

Zoey went back into class and tried her best not to look worried
