Chapter 3

Jake and Mike decided to play hockey in the house while I just stood by the corner, watching.

"Heads up!" Mike said as he hit the tennis ball, making it almost hit the guest but Tom caught it before it hit her.

"Little less wrist, Mike!" Tom said as he threw it back to Mike.

"Got it! Game on!" Mike said as he skates back to us.

Soon enough, Dylan started to roll out of control.

"Uh. You're gonna want to stop now!" Jake yelled as Dylan rolled over the railing and held onto the chandelier.

"Hold on, buddy!" His dad yelled as Tom ran up the stairs to help him.

"Save my baby!" The mom yelled over dramatically, making me roll my eyes.

Tom then went over the railing and held onto the chandelier.

"I got him! I got him!" Tom said before he started to swing as well.

"I don't got him! I don't got him!" Tom yelled once more as they started to turn and swing.

Just then, I notice the chandelier start to break.

"I can't look." I mumbled, as I leaned my head into Jake's shoulder.

I then hear Tom groan and glass breaking.

"Is there any broken bones?" I ask.

"No. You can look now." Jake said as I look up to see Tom on the floor with Dylan and Kate and glass everywhere.

"Come over anytime dude!" Jake yelled to Dylan as he threw him his shoes.

"You're all invited to my birthday." Dylan says as they drag him away.

TIME SKIP

Everybody was starting to get bored so we all went outside and hung out on the porch.

"Day 14 on the alien planet." Jake mumbled as Charlie and Henry walked out.

"Where are you going?" Henry asked Charlie who had his bag over his shoulder.

"To sign up for football and no... you can't come." Charlie said, leaving Henry to go back inside just as Lorraine came out.

"Can this place be anymore boring? It's like nothing to do around here." Sarah said.

"I could give you a makeover." Lorraine said to Sarah who rolled her eyes.

"Alrighty then." Lorraine whispered before going back inside.

TIME SKIP AGAIN

We were now in the room watching Tom's interview which I didn't really pay attention to when I heard Tom yell.

"Go to bed, kids!" He said as he pointed to the camera with a smile.

"You heard the coach. Off to bed. Here we go." Kate said, as we all started to get up.

"In Midland, we were all a family and now we are a support system?" Sarah asked.

"A family is a support system butch!" Lorraine scoffed before we all walked off to our rooms.

IN THE MORNING

We were now all gathered in the living room with Nora on the phone when Kate and Tom were whispering with each other.

"She wants to have her own room when she's here. Isn't that sweet?" Kate asked us with a smile.

"Tell me doorknob is not going to be babysitting too." Sarah said with a hopeful grin.

"Yes. He very well might be, young lady." Kate said before Tom yelled out.

"And do not set his pants on fire again." Tom said as he pointed to Sarah, making her smile.

"Classic."

"Is anybody besides me thinking our happier and stronger life was actually code for nastier and suckier?" Sarah asked us.

"First dad forces us to move." Mike said.

"Then mom decides to become a career person and like travel the globe." Jake said, as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Now we have to take orders from Hank, the model/actor?" Jessica says.

"He hates kids too." Mark said.

"Or he's blind to his evil. We have no choice but to intervene."

"We've got 48 hours. Let's work a plan." Sarah said as we all huddled together.

TIME SKIP

"Alright! Apple shmear season is officially open!" Tom yelled as we all cheered in excitement.

They then started to throw apples as Tom starts to hit it with a tennis racket.

"Time out! Nora's here!" Sarah yelled as they all stopped and started to run to the car.

"Nah! Nah! Nah! Please do not touch the Le Baron. Just had it detailed. Tom, Tom. Can we please, uh... ask the kids to respect the perimeter around the Le Baron?" Hank says as he motions to the Le Baron.

"Hey, hey! Respect the perimeter, kids! Back up. Back up! Nora welcome!" Tom said as we all followed Tom before Sarah brought us together.

"Battle stations!" Sarah whispered as we all went our separate ways.

While Hank is walking, Mike signaled Jake and I to start skating.

"Heads up, Hank!" Kim yelled as Sarah threw an apple just when Jake and I did a trick on our skateboard.

"Yo, Hank!" We yelled as Hank turned to us just before he turns around, making Kyle and Nigel pull the hose.

Hank trips on the hose as he falls in the pool, making  us laugh.

TIME SKIP

Sarah, Jake, Mike, Henry and I started to grab a piece of raw meat as we started to bring them to the dryer.

"Chopsticks." Sarah ordered, as Mike passed her the chopsticks.

Sarah grabbed he underwear with the chopsticks and brought it over to the barrel filled with meat as we covered our noses.

"Open meat bucket." She said as Mike opened it, making us all groan in disgust.

"Begin. Underwear soaking." Sarah said as she put the underwear on top of the meat as Henry started to push it into the meat with the hockey stick.

Something or later, we were now blow drying the underwear when Gunner starts to run in.

"Gunner!" Sarah yelled as Henry and Mike started to hold him back while Jake started to hold the underwear in front of him with a chopstick.

TIME SKIP AGAIN

We were now at the table, eating when Hank started to shake.

"Gunner! Gunner!" Nora yelled.

"He's really digging in." Hank said as he started to shake even more.

Then Hank turned his chair, making him fall to the ground as Gunner starts to bite his jeans.

Hank started to scream as I tried not to hold in my laughter when Nora turned around, making us stop.

Sooner or later, Nora was walking out of the house angrily.

"Let's just get something clear. Even though you guys live near me now, I have my own life. It's mine. Not ours. Mine. My loyalty is to Hank now. And that's the way it's gonna be." Nora said before leaving.
