But so are all the rest
Whether it's just for a day,
or until you meet again.
Make every one count
Don't waste a single one
Goodbyes have always been the hardest
So that is why I'm done.
Farewell?
Adios?
They don't sound the same.
But I don't want to waste this, no not again.
I messed up that once
It won't happen again
So I whispered goodbye
Holding back tears
I gave him a promise
I'd pray for him for all the coming years
Goodbyes are hard.
Though this is my first,
I hope it will be my last.
