Kairi pov - 3 months later
Me and Brooklynn have been hanging out lately. We've become closer and her friends are now my friends. Except Mattia. Idk why he has a problem with me. Anyway, we were all hanging out at Brooklynn's how and having a good time.
Alvaro: "Bruh I'm bored I wanna play FIFA!" He whined
Kairi: "Me too" I said
Brooklynn: "Bruh no that's hella boring" she said annoyed
Kairi: "FIFA is fun. C'mon I bet you've never played before" I said trying to convince her
Brooklynn: "Okay fine. Turn on the ps4" she said walking towards her gaming chair and putting it in front of the gaming console
I quickly made my way towards the button but Alvaro had already pushed it. I looked at him with a death glare. But jokingly. He put his hands up in defense. I watched as Mattia turned on FIFA. I liked FIFA but I was new to the game.
Mattia: "Yo kai, you wanna battle me?" He said confidently
Kairi: "Yeah okay" I said in response
Mattia: "Ima beat your ass" Mattia murmured loud enough to wear I could understand
I gulped hardly as we started the game. (Idk how FIFA works so I'm jus gonna say Kai won)
I sighed as I looked at screen and I won. Mattia was being so competitive and confident.
I got up and sat myself on Brooks bed and scrolled through Instagram. I saw that Brook added me so I added her back. I looked fron my phone and saw everyone starring at me... Besides Mattia.
Kairi: "What?" I said with a chuckle
Roshaun & Alvaro: "How did you beat mattia at FIFA? He's the FIFA king" they said impressed
Brooklynn: "H-have you even played FIFA before?" She said
Kairi: "Uhm no I havent played FIFA before. I'm just really good at soccer I guess" I said
Robert: "That is a total lie! Mattia spent years learning how to be the FIFA king" he said
Kairi: "Oh. Well I just played tho so idk how I won" I said truthfully
Alvaro: "Brooooo Kairi is the new ki-"
Mattia: "No he isn't" Mattia chanted
Brooklynn: "Jeez okay okay. Stop being a dick" she said defending me
Roshaun: "Yeah stop being a dick" he said agreeing
Mattia: "I'm not being a dick!" He said aggressively
Brooklynn: "I'm sorry Kai, he must be having a bad day" she apologized
Kairi: "It's fine, I get it"
I slowly realized that Mattia doesn't like me because I'm not popular. Why though? I laughed at the thought. I picked up my phone and told everyone i was gonna head home. I reached the door and slowly pulled it open letting the cold air hit my my. Snow all over the ground. I walked out and went home. Once i arrived Maiya and my mom were in the kitchen making dinner
Maiya: "Hey kai! How was school?" She said
Kairi: "Fine. What are y'all makin'?"
Maiya: Kare Raisu (itz jus rice wit curry)
K/m: "Kairi do you want to eat with us?"
Kairi: "Hell no, I'll eat in my room" I said firmly
Maiya rolled her eyes as I was walking towards my room with my plate. I set it on my desk while I took off my shirt and out on some sweat. I started eating while i was scrolling through Instagram. One of Brooklynn's pictures showed up and I smiled at the thought of her. I had a crush on her ever since 9th grade.
But she'd never like me back of course. I finished eating and I laid on my bed. I slowly shut my eyes and I drifted to sleep. I woke up by Maiya shaking me to death.
Maiya: "Someone is here for you" she said
I groaned and got up. I didn't bother putting on a shirt because its fine. I walked downstairs and saw Brooklynn and Alvaro waiting for me on the couch. I smiled. Brooklynn looked me up and down and I just blew it off.
