"Okay, okay... you got this" Mikey told himself as he looked back at his reflection. He was rehearsing how to ask you out on a date in the boys bathroom at school.
"Y/n, you are absolutely amazing and I was wondering if you'd like to go to a movie sometime?" He said over excitedly.
"Man, you need to calm down a little" Zack spoke up from leaning against the wall as he was helping Mikey rehearse.
"You think that was too much?" Mikey looked worried now as he turned to look at Zack.
"Just a little, be smooth about it. What you said was fine but your excitement was over the edge"
"Okay, how about this?" Mikey turned back to the mirror and took a deep breath
" Y/n, you're absolutely amazing and I was wondering if you'd like to go to a movie sometime?" This time he said it more calmly but sincerely.
"Perfect dude! Now go ask her!" Zack said patting Mikey on the back. A huge smile grew on Mikey's face and he started to jump up and down.
"I'm so excited! I just hope she says yes!" Mikey prepared himself as he set out from the boy's bathroom to find you and finally ask the question.
