"Where am I?"
With a groan, Bert stirred and finally opened his eyes. He was on a beach, but it was nothing like the beaches from his home. He got to his knees and slowly took in his surroundings. It was night time. The moon shone blue and the infinite number of stars shone in the midnight sky. The roar of crashing waves was behind him and the songs and chirps of various birds and insects reached his ears from the dark jungle in front of him. He didn't recognize any of them. He looked behind him and confirmed that there was indeed an ocean behind him. Finally getting onto his feet, he touched his face and examined his body thoroughly. His wrists felt scarred and as he ran his hands through his loc'd hair, he realized that he had a gash on the front of his scalp. His clothes were mostly destroyed, but his hat had somehow survived his ordeal. All he remembered was getting blown back into a wall and then being in a dark room, and finally these machines strapping him to some machine that stabbed in the back five times, then pain and agony. He quickly fell back to his knees and began to cry. 'Why did those bad people hurt me like that?' he questioned to no one in particular. His crying began to become more intense as he began to grasp the weight of his situation. He thought of his mother and how much he missed her and his dad. He thought that if he had just stayed with his mother and done what he was supposed to do, he'd be home enjoying a nice hot bowl of gobball stew. He curled up in a ball and sobbed, crying out for his mom, dad, little sister Yuna, or anybody to come save him and take him home. Then, as if answering his tear-filled prayers, he heard a woman's voice in his head. 'On your feet little one'. Bert sniffled at the new intrusion in his mind and looked around. 'Yes you,' the voice said in a motherly tone, 'stand up and come to me. I can help you' Bert rubbed his eyes with the back of his arm and slowly got to his feet. He looked up and saw a glowing purple bear. It wasn't very big, it was about his height and stared at him with comforting eyes before softly grunting and turning to walk into the jungle. 'Come find me little one' the voice urged one last time before fading away. Bert willed his legs to move and he managed to run after the bear disappearing into the brush.
CHIBI sat on the dock of Mount Zinit next to his brother, Grougaloragran. The Eliatrope and the Dragon stared silently at the endless ocean. The sea breeze rushed the smell of salt water into their noses and the sound of seabirds and crashing waves filled their ears. The stared at the sea with a mixture of confusion and despair. Ever since the Eliatrope Prince, Alibert 'Bert' II had been taken by the New Sufokian army, things hadn't been the same. Chibi could have sworn he had saw Bert after that mysterious woman rescued them from the storm monster, but his mind would always go blank after the beast disappeared. Now, five years had passed and there was still no sign of him. They would've thought that he was dead if Clara, the young Xelor that they had met on their first journey, hadn't confirmed that he was still alive. But that was five whole years ago and when they had set out for a rescue mission, they couldn't get to his location. Chibi glanced at Grougal. The black dragon had grown taller and favored his more humanoid form now. He kept his wings folded around his shoulders to look like he was wearing a cloak. His horns were small black spikes that jutted out of his long white hair and he began to grow a small beard. Chibi had changed as well, though not as drastically, he was only a couple inches taller than before and his face had lost a little bit of its child-like features. He cut his hair a little bit so as not to look shaggy anymore. "I can still feel his Wakfu..." Grougal said suddenly. "Grougal..." Chibi said with a sigh, "We know that he's still alive somewhere, but right now we have another problem to deal with" Grougal nodded. "And besides," Chibi continued, "We have a sad princess to entertain" Grougal stood up and stretched, his wings reaching their full wingspan before relaxing and folding back into place. Chibi also stood up and stretched before opening a portal and jumping through with Grougal right behind him.
