Sean's POV

I'm on my way to Yas' house kasi buong araw siya hindi nagrereply sa akin, ang sabi niya lang busy siya.

Hindi na siya nagexplain, and I trust her so I didn't bother asking kung saan ba siya busy, we're mature enough to give each other space when we need one.

I'm just going to surprise her sa bahay nila, kasi ayokong may isang araw ang lumipas na maramdaman niya na hindi ako nandiyan para suportahan siya.

Noong makarating na sa bahay nila I knocked. Once. Twice. Walang sumasagot. I tried calling her pero hindi rin siya sumasagot hanggang sa may narinig akong tawanan sa kwarto niya. Nasa bahay naman pala siya. Nakita ko yung helper nila at pinapasok naman agad ako, dumeretso agad ako sa kwarto niya. Hindi naman na bago 'to.

"Yas? I'm here! How are you tod—Ivo?"

When I opened the door I was shocked to see Ivo laughing with Yas inside her room. Si Ivo nakaupo sa kama, si Yas nakatayo may hawak na champagne.

"Sean? Bro? Come here we're celebrating!" sabi ni Ivo. Celebrating?

"We are?" tanong ko sakanya.

Tumingin ako kay Yasmin, naramdaman ko namang tumahimik siya noong pumasok ako.

"What are you doing here Sean?" tanong ni Yas.

Her face shows that she's uncomfortable with me being right here. Since when did that happen? And what are we—I mean 'them'—celebrating?

"I'm... I just... You weren't replying the whole day and I just want to check up on you. I didn't know 'we're' celebrating?"

I told her with a straight face. She must have realized that I'm upset because she gulped the whole glass of champagne she's holding.

"Yes bro! I'm so proud of you Yasmin!!!" Ivo exclaimed. Halatang hindi niya napapansin yung 'tension' sa pagitan namin ni Yas.

"Proud?" tanong ko sa kanila. Napatingin ako kay Yas, halatang hindi niya alam ang gagawin. What's going on?

"Yes! Yas was chosen as an intern for this high fashion boutique in Paris! That's one step closer to her dreams pare!" Halatang halatang sobrang saya ni Ivo for Yas.

"You are?" I asked Yas. She looked at me like she wanted to cry, but she slowly nodded as her response. "Congratulations then. I'm proud of you." I said.

"Sean..." mahinang sabi ni Yas.

"Oh well, I just want to check up on you. You guys go ahead and celebrate." Sabi ko.

"Sean, what's up? Let's celebrate together!" sabi ni Ivo na parang nahalata na ang nangyayari.

"No bro. It's okay. It's late na rin. Besides... I don't think I'm invited. So yeah, I'm gonna go."

I walked out. I don't want to ruin the mood if they're actually celebrating because I'm not really okay now. That news is so big for Yas, pero bakit kailangan kay Ivo ko marinig? Bakit hindi ako ang unang sinabihan ni Yasmin? We always go to each other first, whether it's good news or bad news. Kailan nagbago 'to?

Palabas na ako ng bahay nang marinig kong tinawag ako ni Yas.

"Sean, wait. Please, wait. I have to explain." I looked at her. "I... I was... I..."

Hindi niya alam kung anong sasabihin and I don't really want to upset her today, especially if magcecelebrate dapat siya.

"You don't have to explain, Yas. You deserve to celebrate. Don't be upset. I just don't want to stay because I'm not really in a good mood and baka masira ko lang yung celebration niyo ni Ivo."
