——— CEDRIC DIGGORY IS, WELL, DEAD. That's the first thing that Farren notes about her fifth year. His murder was far more heartbreaking to Farren than nearly anyone else. After all, he practically mentored her since the first day of her first year. He's the reason why she's good at quidditch ( and now, she'll be taking over his previous seeking position ), he's the guiding hand behind her wicked smart mind, and he's why she's so... strong. Well, was. That's something she has to remind herself of: it's past tense, now. He's dead, gone, never to come back. Was.
Truthfully, she doesn't want to return to Hogwarts for her fifth year. Going back without Cedric doesn't feel right. She already feels empty, and returning to Hogwarts is surely only going to make her feel far more empty.
But then, Harry Potter starts Dumbledore's Army, which essentially acts as a green light for her to keep on living. She decides that she'll do whatever she can to avenge her best friend's death, no matter what she has to do to get there. And Harry Potter decides to help her.
