Lingjel who was left with a physiological shadow of witnessing murder and murdering was currently eating away her feelings

Literally eating, she have had 34 bowls of noodles but still wouldn't stop and continued eating with a heavy heart

Yu ran who was watching from the side couldn't help but sigh

He was helpless, ever since coming back, his beloved little brother was always in a daze, eating as if he had not eaten for several years, sometimes even tears would fall as he ate

" brother... " Lingjel called out softly

Her attentive big brother was happy to be called and jumped to her side, if he had tail it would be wagging uncontrollable

Lingjel for once had put down the bowl but it looked like she had sorted things out, her elegant and calm aura started returning, her posture no longer like a mushroom

" rice " she looked up with those crystal clear eyes

" what? " her brother looked rather puzzled

" I can't feel full unless I eat rice " All Asians need their rice!!!!

Yu ran nodded and although he still couldn't quite grasp it but he still went out to get his little brother a bucket of rice with some  soup that he could eat his fill

After a month of thinking, Lingjel had now come to a conclusion, if she could get in, she could also get out

Living in a novel was of course a dream like experience, it was beautiful provided it was a good modern novel with no horror or tragedy tag and supernatural is a big no

She rather be in one of those otome games instead, didn't a lot of people get transmigrated into such novels or games??

So why is it that she had to transmigrate into such a shitty place??

bad review, shitty author and freaking asshole characters

0 stars!!!!!!

But what was the point? How long will it take for her to even figure out a way?

Yu ran who came back running was greeted with the sight of his brother looking at the sky with a face filled with longing and sorrow

It was like a beautiful portrait but at the same time so sad that his heart ached

" brother how do we judge if someone is right or that someone is wrong? " in this world, there was no right and wrong, only the weak and the powerful, just like the world she was from

" if it feels right, it's right no matter how wrong, if it feels wrong, it is, no matter how right " Yu ran pat her head dotingly

Lingjel was a little stunned with the answer, is it really that way?

She knew she couldn't rely on such a answer but for some reason she wanted to

Big brother bro con had left to continue his investigation with the sect leader so Lingjel was left alone eating rice with several other dish by herself, not that her big brother was allowed to join her when he was there

Now that she had rice, she felt full and was even a little happy

'ASIANS and RICE are ONE!!!
Would have been better if there was soya sauce '

She thought as her fingertips played with edge of the bowl

Just then she was frightened by Li Qiang who seemed to pop up out of nowhere

Li Qiang didn't look her in the eyes

" Shizun, this disciple has come to inquire about your health " he bowed towards his new master

At some point Lingjel had become the shizun, if she wanted to bring back Li Qiang, she could only do it by taking him in as her disciple

She wanted to sneer at how ridiculous this plot was, the master-disciple tropes were done overly and she herself didn't want to be part of such trope, it was annoying but she was dragged in it either way

' Can't I just be some background character that no one knows of??  '

Well technically she was but then curiosity killed the cat

" Master has made this disciple worry, I am fine now " she smiled at him warmly as she pat his head dotingly

To have such a good child grow up crooked and wild, another bunch of curses were directed to the author

He might be cute but she still won't underestimate him, she had read too many novels, there was a chance he would be reborn too,  also there was another chance of him being crooked from the start

She dare not let her guard down in front of him

The author only followed the asshole ML and MC, there was no back story as to why Li Qiang was the way he was except for a few hints saying ML killed his family

What was he like?  What did he like? How was his childhood?  How much did he suffer?

She had no clue

The little boy was happy to be patted by his master and smiled happily back at him

And with that smile, Lingjel put her thoughts at the back of her mind

' As long as he is cute '

Thanks to the good care of his Master, Li Qiang now had some meat on him,  he now has good clothes that kept him warm and enough food to fill his stomach

He no longer had to starve, he no longer had to shiver in cold, he no longer had any more scare on his body and he no longer had to serve those disgusting people

He no longer had to face his father

He was safe

" Shizun "

" hm? "

" when this disciple grows up, I promise to protect shizun!!! " he looked determined, his eyes didn't have that naive look, nor did it have childishness like it should, it was not even pure but it was innocent, it had a glint of light that shined so bright that it blinded anyone who looked into it

" I'll be waiting for that day " Lingjel was amused by the little boy

She held out her pinky finger waiting for the little boy to hook it with his own

" promise! ?"

" promise! " he looked at the hooked fingers, one small and one big

And so a promise was made
