fireworks: mingi

it was new years and the only person on your mind was your bestfriend, song mingi.
he picked you up early that day to spend every hour together. he took you into the city, ducking into cafes and multiple clothing stores. at one point mingi stopped inside a store that sold fireworks and multiple other little toys and trinkets. as it started to get dim outside, the two of you went to a local gardens with huge fields and a lake in the middle. you two go to the middle of one of the large ranges of grass and mingi grabbed one of the fireworks out of the bag he was holding, placing on the floor and grabbing a lighter. "you ready?" he asked, looking back at you with a smile on his face, you simply nodded back to him and he turned to face the firework again, lighting it and swiftly stepping back to stand beside you. after a bit the firework shot up into the sky ending in an explosion, leaving the sky in a array of colours. you watched this with such wonder and astonishment and mingi noticed that. he looked down at your gleaming face, admiring every one of your features. you noticed shortly of his gaze and returned that same look. your eyes locking, both your faces lit up different colours from the sky. you stayed there for a while, just staring at eachother with curiosity and admiration. feeling something different for the tall boy you've come to know. eventually, you both turned your bodies to fully face eachother as you slowly get closer. eventually closing the gap between the two of you, another set of fireworks going off inside of you. you pulled away after a while and he leaned his forehead on yours, keeping eye contact. your arms around his neck and his around your waist. in that moment, it felt so right to be there.
