Minhee gave his prepared milk for me. I drank it right away and finished it in 9.09 seconds.

"That's quick, James? Are you craving for milk?"

"Yes, gege. Is it obvious? It is unusual for a 21-year old male like me to drink milk."

"Very unusual. It's quite rare to drink milk at your age."

I asked him if it's okay to prepare one more glass of milk. "Minhee, can I have another glass of mi---"

Gege interuppted me, "Make it 2 glasses. One for him and one for me."

I said to him, "Will that be alright if I will drink 2 more? I really need to drink milk right now."

Minhee got confused. "Wait. Wait."

I said, "Just make it 4. Two for me, one for gege, and one for you."

"Okay, then."

Minutes later, Minhee gave me 2 glasses of milk.

"Thank you, Minhee! Sorry for my demands."

"It's alright. I know that milk is essential in doing school tasks. You really need milk. Continue now."

"I will take a break first. I need to chat someone."

Minhee went back to his room after drinking his glass of milk. He will probably sleep again.

Since my school posted reminders regarding academic updates, it's time for my parents to know my situation here in South Korea.

I opened my messenger and saw 2,020 unread messages. I started to read some of it.

It's really time. I need to message my parents. We have a group chat, so I messaged them on that group chat.

Our chat is as follows:

Me:
Hello po! Musta na po kayo diyan? Musta na po ang resto?
(Hello! How are you there (in the Philippines)? How's the restaurant?)

Mom:
*angry* HINDI KA PA UUWI? KAILAN KA PA UUWI?
(You haven't come home yet? When are you planning to go home?)

Dad:
Malapit na finals mo. Kailan mo balak bumalik dito?
(Your finals is near. When are you planning to go home?)

Me:
Baka March pa po.
(Maybe March.)

Mom:
MARCH? PANO PAG-AARAL MO?
(March? What about your studies?)

Dad:
May final defense pa kayo sa January 9. Ayan. Korea pa more!
(You have your final defense on January 9. There. Stay there!)

Me:
*shocked* January 9???

Dad:
Oo. Tiningnan ko kaya sa kwarto mo. Akala ko ba updated ka? Pumunta ka lang ng Seoul, nagka-amnesia ka na, tutal puro ka K-pop. Tigilan mo na kasi 'yang K-pop na yan.
(Yes. I looked in your room. I thought you are updated (in your studies). You just went to Seoul, you forgot everything (about school), since you are into K-pop. Stop being too addicted to K-pop.)

I thought that they are angry at me. I somewhat cried as I am reading Dad message. I replied.

Me:
Sorry, Daddy. Hindi ko kaya. Pagbubutihin ko po talaga pag-aaral ko, kahit may K-pop.
(Sorry, Daddy. It's difficult. Even if there is K-pop, I will study well.)
