I was a girl with eyes of grey,
Who lived by stormy seas.
I never knew I’d find a way
To make the currents cease.
But water ebbs, and water flows
It never comes to rest.
It rises, falls; it comes and goes…
What more can I attest?
They’ve taken me from hope and home
And forced me to obey
The waves of life: to walk and roam
And struggle, every day.
And water tore my dreams apart;
It made me lose my dreams…
It crushed my girlish, fragile heart
To fragments, so it seems.
But then it came that we have met;
My purpose I have found.
That day, on you my eyes were set…
And likewise, I was bound.
And water led my fate to you:
My love, my destiny…
Within my soul, I felt… I knew
That we were meant to be.
A/N: I was supposed to be writing a review for this. I ended up doing a poem instead.
Take a look at the clip on the side. It inspired me...
Really, I love that movie!
