"Are you good? Why do you keep dribbling like that?" My teammate Vanessa asked me as I pounded the ball on the ground.
Practice ended 10 minutes ago and I was just here getting shots up.
Our first game was tomorrow and it was in LA. Meaning Jalen was coming. Most of the boys are coming as well. The boys are playing too so it means it'll be a big crowd.
I wasn't nervous that we were gonna be playing. I was nervous because Jalen was coming. This is the first time he'll see me play FOR REAL.
"I'm good." I answered.
"Alright. Well I gotta go get my little sister from dance practice. See you tomorrow."
"Bye." I smiled. Vanessa walked away and I was left by myself.
I took some shots, and made sure everything I was doing was PERFECT. I can't mess up in front of Jalen tomorrow.
"Get out of my gym! Loser!" I heard Bronny shout.
I smacked my lips as he threw a ball at me. "Freshman make varsity and think they're good or something." I joked.
"Move along. This is my gym."
"Shut up! Go grab the balls! Freshie!" Brandon shouted as him and Ziaire walked into the gym.
"Yeah freshie!" Amari shouted causing me to laugh.
"Y'all are mean." Bronny mumbled.
"Y'all got practice?" I asked.
"Yeah." Ziaire answered.
"ITS HOOP TIME BABY!" Zaire shouted as he walked in with Tookey, another boy on the boys team.
"Damn! I can smell your breath from here! Shut up!" Bronny shouted as he pushed the ball cart onto the court.
"Damn." I shook my head. Bronny never had to violate him like that.
"It wasn't even funny." Zaire mumbled.
"It was though." I laughed.
"Suck my dick." Zaire replied.
My face immediately went straight. "What do you mean?" I defensively asked.
"I mean what I just said. You got nut in your ears?" Zaire asked.
"What are you talking about?" I asked. Did he know or something?
"I'm joking Kay. Chill out." Zaire rolled his eyes.
