Chpt 5 Whitney

"*yawn* what what is it?" I ask Lyra is shaking me "I don't have anyone to talk to" she says looking like she's ready to pounce on me sometimes she acts very childlike "talk to Kris I'm tired" I turn away from her and close my eyes she jumps on me my eyes shoot open "I can't she said to wake you up" she whines "okay okay just get off me" I say she gets off I sit up "now what do you want to talk about?" I ask "um what about your next gym battle?" She proposes "my next gym battle is against a fearsome trainer countless journeys have been ended by her and her terrifying Pokémon a spine-chilling random generator maybe if you get lucky it'll spare your Pokémon and her sinister ace a large Pokémon that could roll into you slowly building power stomp you most of the time flinching your Pokémon or maybe she'll infatuate your Pokémon if she has mercy on you and if her Pokémon is low she'll have it heal through a move I fear my battle with her" I say "w-who is it?" Lyra asks "Whitney" I say "isn't she seven?" Lyra asks with a smirk on her face "yeah but never mind I'm just gonna battle the gym" I say getting up "well I want to watch" she says looking up at me a glint in her eye "okay then" I give her a pat on the head well on her hat we walk to the gym there's someone standing outside the gym "sorry Whitney has gone to see if she can get a radio card" the woman says I run to the radio tower and run to the counter "I want to take on the quiz for a radio card!" I say she asks me five questions then says "if you need to hear them again just a-" I cut her off "yes yes no yes no" I say quickly "you're correct" she hands me a radio card I load it into my Pokégear "what you got one no faiiiiiiiiir" a girl whines "yep" I say proudly "well... Fine! I don't need one anyways I have a gym to lead" she runs off "and now it's time to win" I say determined we walk to the gym I open the door and run through the maze I make it to Whitney "let's battle" I say readying a Pokéball "Clefairy" she sends out a pink Pokémon it's known to use metronome "Teddiursa" I get rid of Clefairy but I'm down to Hitmontop and Quilava the Clefairy got explosion from metronome fainting both it, Pineco, and Phanpy "Quilava" I say "Miltank" I can feel my fear build up inside "f-flame wheel" I say Quilava spins at Miltank doing some damage "rollout" she says "d-dodge it" I'm tripping over my words so much Quilava barely avoids the move "c'mon Ethan you got this there's nothing to be afraid of!" Lyra shouts from the sidelines I immediately feel all my fear shift into determination "flame wheel!" I command Miltanks at low "milk drin-" I cut her off "intercept it!" I say Quilava rushes over then uses flame wheel fainting Miltank she falls on the floor sitting down "waaaaah! Waaaaah! *Snivel hic* you meanie" she whines I don't know what to do when the trainer before her walks over "don't worry she always gets like this after losing" she says Whitney stands up "*sniff* what? What do you want? A badge? Oh right I forgot here's the plain badge she hands it to me "we did it... WE GOT THE PLAIN BADGE WOO-HOO!" I yell then run off Lyra's waiting for me at the door "you did it!" She says "yep now let's get Kris then head to Ecruteak city" I say Lyra lets out a slight giggle "you really do focus on becoming the champion don't you" she says "yep now c'mon!" I grab her hand and pull her to our room and open the door Kris is sitting on the bed reading a book "now where did you two run off to?" Kris asks adjusting wait glasses when did she get glasses whatever "I got my third badge" I say beaming she closes her book and takes off her glasses "good job I guess kinda wish you would've told me where you went an ran off to but whatever" she says packing her bag "well why didn't you tell me you had glasses?" I ask "not that long ago I just use them when I'm reading you probably never noticed cause I normally wear contact lens" she explains "well where are we headed off to next?" Kris asks "Ecruteak city home of Morty the mystic seer of the future" I say then start to head towards the door we check out "before we go can I have one go at the game corner pleaseeeeee?" I ask slowly moving towards it "no Ethan" Kris says firmly I scoff "okay" we walk through route thirty-seven and make it to Ecruteak I'm not ready to take on Morty right now we walk into the Pokémon center there's a guy at the PC "ding-dang machine I made you what's the problem!" He says angry Kris walks over "excuse me what's the problem here?" She asks "this stupid PC won't work whenever I try to log in there's blue and red just sitting there" Lyra walks over one thing that Kris and Lyra can bond over is PC they both know like everything when it comes to them "hm well I've seen this before I think" she types some things on "yep it's just a Porygon virus" she says "well how do we get rid of it?" He asks "well I've gotten rid of these before" Lyra types some things on it as a Porygon comes out of the computer "Ariados night slash" Kris commands Porygon is hit for good damage "now" she kicks the Pokéball and catches Porygon "yee-ha! Kudos for helpin me out there I'd like to give the two of you some thing" he says then takes two Pokémon out of the PC "here for each of you an Eevee and you girl I'd like to give you this upgrade and a Dubious disc now I'm sure you know what an upgrade does now I don't even know what that there Dubious disc does but it has some connection to Porygon so take it thank you again I should get back to my house in Cerulean see ya around youngsters and you boy you remind me of someone I met three years ago you've got the same glint in your eyes lemmie guess you want to become the champion?" He says "no I don't want to become the champion... I'm gonna become the champion!" I say he laughs "yep just like him I'm sure great things will come of you" he says then leaves "well I guess congrats on getting all that stuff" I say "I'm gonna take a quick breath of fresh air I'll be back" I say then walk out I sit on a bench and look up at the stars and ponder is it even possible that Lyra likes me? I wonder what goes through her head? My thoughts are interrupted by a shout "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" I jump over the bench a girl with brown hair, brown eyes, a white hat with a red line going around the base and a curve on the front, with a light blue top and red skirt "I'm so sorry I was... Looking for someone" she seems like she's hurt over something "ah don't worry about it so what's up who are you looking for?" I ask then sit down on the bench she pets her Dodrio then returns it "my friend has just disappeared I've searched everywhere besides Johto and mt. Silver" she explains "I'm sorry about that" I say "you kinda remind me of him you've got the same glint in your eyes" she says smiling weakly "there was some guy who told me I reminded me of someone and made the same point he had brown hair and brown eyes he was wearing a lavender shirt"

"must've been Bill was he at the PC mad about some sort of virus?"

"Yeah he was"

"it was him I called him a while ago about my friend he said he couldn't check the last time he logged in to the PC cause the virus"

"yeah my friend and sister got rid of that virus"

"wait really!"

"Yeah they did"

"that's great!" She dials a number on her phone "c'mon please pick up" she says "Bill! The virus is gone can you check" she presses a button on the phone "well ain't you right lemmie check partner... Alright Fires Red Fires ah here he is it says his last one was three years ago at mt. Silver"

"okay thanks Bill"

"no problemo make sure to drop by when you get'em"

"yep bye Bill" she hangs up "Arceus Red why can't you make it simple for me" she says "why what's the problem?"

"You can only get to mt.Silver if you are or were the champion"

"well why don't you ask the former champion uh what was his name Blue?"

"I don't know where he is he said he was flying off to some sort of island to do some training"

"well don't worry"

"why?"

"Cause I'm gonna become the champion and I'll go to mt. Silver and get him down"

"really!?"

"Yep nothings gonna stop me from achieving my dream!"

"That's great I'm gonna see if I can find a way to get to mt. Silver early"

"got it nice to meet you Ethan Hibiki"

"Leaf Green I'll see ya around and call me if you get anything"

"yep" we split ways I make it into the room "what were you doing you were out there for a while?" Kris asks "um nothing nothing I just got lost in thought" I lie I don't want to tell them about my little mission "okay well then let's get to sleep" I lie down Lyra and Kris fall asleep in an instant I look at Lyra she really is the cutest thing ever I sigh "to bad she won't ever like me back" I say then go to sleep myself
