As We Shatter
What if one day we'll look back
Try to find the crack
Of the bond we broke
That changed everything as we awoke
What if one day we'll just see
Why did we even thought that we could be
Why didn't we just foresee
That in the future we'll set each other free
Free from the cage that caught us
Free from the connection we just lost
Free from the connecting chains that kept us
Free from love, as we thought it was
We cannot change what we were before
But we can change our future
I kept wondering what our intersection was for
A lesson, that's what you were
And again, we shall meet
Wearing smiles as we greet
Our eyes reflect what we were and could've been
And see how we broke each other, again and again
...
