"Ma'am can you please tell me about the patient" the doctor asked me

"His name is Caleb Álavarez, he's 16, and he has stomach problems" I said remembering what my mom used to tell my dad when they came back from the doctor

"Okay we're going to do our best to make sure he's okay" he said to me wheeling him off

"Thank you so much" I said going to sit down

I started panicking cause what if he doesn't make it I will never get to know him, build a relationship, tell him everything I can't lose my baby brother not yet.

Yes I know he acts like a total dick but that's because he doesn't know the truth yet.

I rushed to the hospital as soon as possible when Bronx called me crying about her brother.

I spotted Chantel but I didn't see Bronx. "Where she at" I asked Chantel and she pointed to the corner to a shaking Bronx

"Baby baby it's okay he's going to be ok" I said grabbing her hands to calm her down

"What if he doesn't make it Messiah huh I'll never get to tell him what really happened I'll never get my baby brother back" she said crying into my chest and I just held her while she cried.

Her brother Cade came rushing over to us asking a lot of questions making Bronx panic again. "Bro calm down nobody has came out here yet to tell us what's going on" I said trying to calm him down. "Go sit by Chantel and take a breather dude" I said going back over to Bronx

"I'm sorry to inform you that he has really bad bullet wound that was cut open and pushed deeper, so we had to go into immediate surgery and he was unresponsive so we had to put him a induced coma" the doctor said making my knees tremble and causing me to fall but Messiah caught me

"It's okay mamas I'm here I'm here" Messiah whispered in my ear

"Ca-can we go see him" I managed to get out

"Yes but only one at a time" the doctor said before walking away

"You can go first Natty" Cade said to me I nodded my head and walked off

There he was laying there damn near lifeless. He was already pale so he practically looked like a ghost now

I sat down by his bed and I started talking to him "I know you can't here me but I'm still going to talk" I took a long sigh before talking again "Caleb J.I whatever you want me to call you I never abandoned you everything your mother has told you was made up I never went to anybody's house and never came back I didn't run away I would never just leave for nothing especially you and Cade there was a time when I knew what love was when I used to say I love you now I don't even say it and if I do it probably has no meaning and I know you practically hate but I'm trying I really am whenever you wake up please just let me in I miss my little brother" I said breaking down at the last part.

I planted a kiss on his cheek and left his room and walked straight to Messiah and he pulled me into hug it seemed like forever before we pulled away.
