CHAPTER EIGHT

Eight

MASAYA, masaya ako ngayon, but at the same time, kinakabahan din. 

Today is my first productive flight. We are presently in our office. I am just a field reserve today. But still, I'm happy because I am really working as an operating crew starting to this day.

"Gab, balita ko kasama raw si Aubrey sa Incheon flight."

Bumaling ako kay Kit. Tsismis na naman ang hatid niya syempre. Pero dahil si Aubrey iyon, makiki-tsismis ako.

Nagka-katext din naman kami minsan kaso, kung hindi about sa work eh parang colleagues lang kung mag-usap.

Mahina pa kasi ako ngayon, soon I'll court her when I have the chance, and if she's ready, of course.

"Talaga? Sayang, sana makasama ko siya sa flight."

Bumuntong-hininga na lang ako. Sana magka-milagro at ma-upgrade ako. Si Chris ay may flight na rin ngayon sa Melbourne. Kami ni Kit ngayon ay field reserve lang.

"Gabriel Lamare?"

Napatingin ako sa boses na tumawag sa akin. It was our scheduler. Tumayo ako at nilapitan siya.

"Yes Ma'am?"

She smiled. "Hi, you are upgraded into a flight today. Incheon flight specifically."

May inabot siya sa akin na sobre at extra uniform. I froze. I can't believe this. Totoo ang himala. Ngayon naniniwala na ako na may himala.

Nora Aunor is shaking...

"Gab, congrats," bati nila.

Ngumisi sa akin si Kit. "Ingat sa flight brad! Good luck!"

Wala pa rin ako sa sariling lumabas sa office. Sakto naman na naabutan ko sina Aubrey at iba pa na kasama ko sa flight na nagche-check in.

"Hi Gab! I can't believe we are on the same flight!" nakangiting bungad ni Aubrey.

Sinuklian ko siya ng ngiti at saka siya tinitigan. First productive flight, first allowance, and first flight as a cabin crew with Aubrey. Damn! It feels like I'm walking on the clouds.

We just had our check-in and immigration so now we are walking along the jet bridge with our luggage. Aubrey is filming a video. Itinapat niya sa akin ang camera.

"Say hi to the camera, Gab!"

I smiled and waved my hand. I still can't believe that I'm with Aubrey again! Maybe, I can make a move. Kahit magpakita lang ng motibo na gusto ko siya?

Bahala na...

We are in the galley right now. I heard from our purser that we will just have our discussion right here. Since maaga pa raw. Hinihintay lang namin na dumating ang captain.

Ni-review ko na lang ang bookings namin for today's flight. One hundred and seventy ang passengers namin. And it's a layover flight. Damn! Exciting!

"Hello everyone. Kamusta?"

Nanigas ako sa kinatatayuan nang marinig ko ang pamilyar na boses na iyon. Dahan-dahan akong humarap.

He's wearing his pilot uniform and his sexy smirk. The attractiveness is still there. His well-built body and handsomeness are fucking crazy!

His eyes met mine. I did not blink nor move. I still remember what happened at his house. Nakakahiya pala 'yung ginawa ko. Biglang talon sa swimming pool nang walang dahilan.

He even lent me his clothes! I shut my eyes when I remember my clothes na iniwan ko sa bahay niya. Kamusta na kaya sila? He told me that he will give it back to me.
