Manik:- yes dad

Raj:- manik i can see that you are upset from the time nandini asked sometime for this proposal

Manik: nothing like that dad

Raj: dont lie manik, and she is completely correct about taking some time on deciding about her future because she has yo leave her home, mom and come to our home trusting us it will take time for her to think, she might be having some doubts, confusions and what not so try to understand her, don't be impulsive because she asked time, if u had a sister i am sure u would appreciate if she did this i hope u understood

Manik (understanding):- you are right dad

Just then he gets a call and his dad leaves from there, manik picks up the call

Manik:- hello

Cabir:- hello ke bache

Manik:- i dont think so uske bache honge cabir

Cabir:- shut up and tell me why you did not come to office today, you know how much i was worried for you

Manik:- shut up cabir, i did not come to office because mom dad had told me to meet a girl so that i can get married

Cabir:- whattt?( dramatically screaming 3 times) Manik did you forget what about me? Humara kya hoga manik? Mai tumhare bache ki maa

Manik interrupted him in middle itself

Manik:- what nonsense yaar cabir? Bache like seriously?

Cabir:- mere pyaar ki koi value nahi hai

Manik:- abhi bas kar cabir

Cabir:- okay tell me what happened you want me to come over there?

Manik:- no need yaar it is not that serious

Cabir:- okay so tell me what happened

Manik:- you wont leave this right (he says yes) so do you remember during college days i had a crush on one girl?

Cabir:- yes i remember now why did you bring that up suddenly? (Teasing tone) you want to meet her now or what?

Manik:- i already met her (smirks)

Cabir (shocked):- what? When? How? Cheater you went to meet your crush without even telling me a word about it (thinks in mind i already met her before you and did not tell you because i wanted to give u a surprise)

Manik:- first listen to me completely

And he narrates the whole scenario of how they went to her house and she wanted some time to think about this proposal

Cabir (laughing):- so you mean to say that the great manik malhotra got rejected by a girl, oh my god!!!! I cannot stop laughing hahahah shit this is so funny

Manik (annoyed):- it is not at all funny and for your kind information she did not reject me okay she just wanted time to think about this

Cabir (still laughing):- whatever it is still funny

Manik:- go to hell why did i even tell you more than that why do i still consider you as my friend (irritated)

Cabir:- anyways even i have to tell you something (going to tell about about the painter nandini but)

Manik:- what is it?

Before cabir starts telling something manik's phone beeps

Manik:- cabir wait i am getting another call so i will talk to you later

He looks at the caller id and sees that it is nandini who is calling him and he immediately picks up the call

Nandini:- hello?

Manik:- hello

Nandini:- umm did i disturb you sir?

Manik:- sir? Nandini we are not in office you can call me manik

Nandini:- okay... actually i wanted to talk with you

Manik:- yes go ahead

Nandini:- i guess it is not appropriate to have this conversation on the phone can we meet tomorrow some where else which is not office?

Manik (chuckles):- yes sure i will text you the time and place, i have work in office so after that we can meet. Arent you going to come to office?

Nandini:- no can i take one more day off please? I know i have just joined the office and cannot take so many leaves but actually my mom is not feeling well so i have to take care of her

Manik:- no problem first take care of your mom and if you can come then we will meet tommorrow

Nandini:- no no we have to definitely meet tomorrow i will come for sure just text me the details

They cut the call and manik keeps smiling, he was happy that atleast she called him and even he did not realize when he started liking her so much

Immediately he gets a call from cabir and manik thinks not again and picks up the call

Cabir:- did you guys romance?

Manik:- what? Are you serious? You are unbelievable dude i just explained to you the whole situation

Cabir:- you did not even listen to what i wanted to say

Manik:- i am in no mood for you lame stuff cabir, you know she told she wanted to talk with me and wanted to meet me

Cabir:- wow that is really good

Manik:- i know right so now i am cutting your call and going to take some rest

Cabir:- yeah yeah now since you have a girl in your life you will forget your bestfriend

Manik:- shut up cabir, i will talk to you tomorrow

Cabir:- okay fine (mind voice)- i thought of telling you that your crush is only the painter but since you are in no mood to listen what i want to say i will use this information to my advantage and prank you (smiles evily)

Manik cuts the call and goes to his room but on the way his parents stop him

Manik:- what happened?

Raj:- as far as i remember someone was not interested in getting married a few days ago right nyo?

Nyo:- yeah he did not want to hurt the girl and all such huge dialogues but today after seeing the girl immediately told yes ha such a drastic change

Manik:- you guys are so mean you want to tease your own son

Raj:- can't help when son is useless (laughs)

Nyo:- also i am interested to know how and why you changed your mind

Manik:- nothing you guys are overthinking that is it i have work i am going to my room bye

He said it very fastly and went running to his room but his parents were laughing on his behaviour they were happy that finally he has changed his mind and he likes a girl but are very curious that what happened in such a short span of time
