Ch 2 - finding out

I hid the shadows and in the support beams for the ceiling. I have been getting reports from Renzo that Rin has been getting harassed and abused. I was rather tempted to step in and stop them. I wonder how Rin does restrain himself. I would have slaughtered all of them mercilessly if they dared speak to me like that. They are all simply pawns. They must know their places. Rin is rather important as well... well, he is much more important.

He is the prince of all demonkind. He could easily kill those who harm him. Yet he doesn't. Rin is surly and interesting being... He is unpredictable. But one thing is certain... I need him to be alive. He is very crucial to the prevention of the earth... I will do what I must to make sure he survives.

He is miserable... I can tell that much about him. If he gets pushed too far then. I can't let that happen. I need to intervene. Forcing him to be a weapon wasn't the best idea but it was the safest... maybe I can make him happy again...

My brothers should be able to help as well. Rin is destined for greatness after all. Though I may have to bribe some of them. Yet, Rin is still very entertaining, it won't take much to keep them around him. Oh well now to tell my brothers... this bound to be interesting. After Rin leaves, I teleport to my office.

I should find a way to incorporate my brothers and me into Rin's life. If we do it too suddenly we would scare him. If we do it to slow then he could already be too far gone... I am in quite a dilemma. And all for Rin. I hope he understands how much I am having to do. I hope he understands and lives...

I slump down in my office chair and I pull out my phone. I first I dial-up Amiamon, Then Astaroth. Rin already knows Amaimon and Astaorth is above him in power. So if we can get Rin adapted to both of them it will allow more room for him to adapt to our other brothers.

"Yes Older brother?" Amaimon asks appearing in the room.

"I need both you and Astaorht to look after Rin. it is crucial that he survives high school and with the way that things are going it would be best if you helped Rin,"

"Why would I?" Astaroth growls. "Besides how could I help him,"

"I will provide you a host. Reiji Shiratori is one of the most feared students in the school and he has been able to prevent the other students from harassing Rin,"

"What should I do brother?" Amaimon asks.

"I need you to watch over Rin in cram school. The spies I have placed in there can only do so much to help the situation and if you are there to help keep Rin safe,"

"Samael, how long were you planning on excluding us?" Lucifer sighs appearing with a flash. Alongside him is out other brothers. "which side he is on is relevant. He is still the heir none the less. Besides, he could still join my Illuminati. So we should have involvement with him as well,"

"Astaroth why did you have to summon him her?" I growl. The last thing I need to deal with now is Lucifer.

"This is a family matter,"

"So I assume you need ideas correct?" Lucifer coos. Once again underestimating me, and yet I do need ideas.

Lucifer takes my silence as a confirmation and smiles. Evil jackass.

"So how will make Rin feel better? All suggestions are welcome," Lucifer coos.

"We could kill whoever is making Rin upset," Iblis suggests.

"Iblis no we can't kill anyone," I groan.

"We could kidnap Rin and take him away from the things that are upsetting him," Beelzebub suggests.

"I could easily arrange that," Lucifer adds.

"We can't kidnap or kill or get rid of any students attending the academy, It would be too much paperwork and Rinnwould get upset," I reply. "So let's focus on making Rin happy, not getting rid of his harassers,"

"We could bring him, sweets," Amaimon suggests.

"Rin seems to be malnourished he probably isn't like he should so food is off the table,"

"food isn't that good of an idea but Amaimon is on to something, If we give gifts to Rin not only will that make him feel better but he won't be so afraid of us either," Lucifer adds.

"That's a good idea, we can give the gifts to Rin either in person or through a second party. That way Rin will warm up to us,"

as we discuss our plan I feel something. Rin is curious. He is thinking about something and it is making him rather happy. Since I have seen what happened I have deiced to monitor his emotions to see how he is feelings... I need to keep a close eye on him.

Rin pov

I walk in my room and I put my stuff down and I crawl in bed. I am all alone. The dorm has gotten colder since Yukio left. Or at least that is what my mind seems to think. I am wrong a lot. Kuro climbs on me and sits down and purrs. I grab a book on demons. It is written by a tamer exorcist so it is the least biased.

I flip to a random page. The title of the chapter. Demon kings. I sigh and I begin reading the hardcover book. It is rather heavy... I could knock out someone with this...

There are 8 know demon kings and they are the second most powerful class right under Satan himself. The order of least powerful to most powerful is; Beelzebub the demon king of insects, Amaimon the demon king of earth, Astaroth the demon king of rot, Egyn the demon king of water, Iblis the demon king of fire, Azazel the demon king of spirts, Samael the demon king of time and space and, Lucifer the demon king of light.

Then the book goes on to go into detail of the demon kings and their relationship. Take with a grain of salt that the tamer wrote this based on what their familiars told them but still. The demon kings are a family and they care and love for each other according to the book.

Other books like this one say that demons have families and loved ones and they aren't monsters but, are merely trying to live a peaceful life with them and their family. They only want to play with humans. Or they want revenge because either family was hurt by an exorcist.

I wonder if they would consider me, family. I wonder if they would love me? Probably not. I am me after all

"Hey Kuro can you tell me about your family?" I ask.

"Of course," He beams happily. "So I have two older sisters and one older brother. My parents were killed when I was a kit so I don't really remember them well. My brother and I were raised by our sisters. They can get overbearing at times but they really are just worried for us. Cat sidhes tend to be overlooked and are seen as prey animals by most demons,"

"Do you ever miss them?"

"Of course all the time they are my family. Thankfully we all share a mental link. I can talk to them whenever I want, I can also tell when they are near," Kuro adds happily.

I wonder if I could talk to my brothers. But why would they talk to me? What do I have to offer them? Nothing. I am only capable of disappointment... I have learned that lesson enough already.
