I watched as Mike and El ran off down the hill away from the rest of us.

"It's not fair" I stated

"What's not fair?" Max asked me

"We never get to spend time with El anymore" I frowned "It's not fair"

"C'mon guys!' Dustin called out to us

"Coming!" Max shouted up the hill to Dustin and the boys

Max grabbed my hand and pulled me up the hill

"What were you girls talking about?" Will asked

"Oh y/n was just-" Max began

"It's not important" I cut Max off

"Oh.." Will sighed

"So we have to put this together?" I looked down at Dustin who was sitting in the grass

"Yup" He smiled

"Hello Suzie it's Dustin, do you come in?" Dustin spoke

"Dustin it's getting late" Max looked up to the stars

"She's gonna pick up" Dustin sighed

"I bet she's not even real" Max sassed "You're just lying"

"I'm not lying! Suzie is real!" Dustin argued back

"Guys let's not do this right now" I sighed

"C'mon Lucas, let's go" Max stood up with Lucas

"Bye guys" Lucas waved before he left with Max

"C'mon guys!" I shouted after them

"I think I'm gonna go too.." Will spoke

"Will" I gave him soft eyes

"It's late and my mom will be worried" He told me

"Yeah, ok... I'll see you tomorrow" I sighed

"Bye.." Will walked off

I looked over at Dustin

"It really is getting late.. You ready to go home?" I asked Dustin

"I'm gonna try and get Suzie" Dustin messed with the box

"ok... I'm gonna head home" I stood up and looked down at him "If it makes you feel any better, I think she's real"

"Thanks y/n" Dustin smiled up at me

"I'll see you tomorrow"

"Y/n! Max and El are here" My dad called to me

I tossed my comic book to the side of my bed and stood up.

"Coming" I called through the house

I walked to the front door where El and Max where

"Uh.. hi guys" I gave them a small smile

"We're going to the mall!" El smiled

"Isn't that against the rules-" I began

"C'mon y/n, El really needs some cheering up" Max told me "He's being a real dick"

"Well... I mean I guess one day couldn't hurt" I began

"Yes! So you're coming?" Max asked

"Yeah, let me just grab my shoes" I ran back into my room

I quickly grabbed my wallet and slipped on my sneakers.

"Bye dad! I'm going out with El and Max!" I called out to my dad

"Ok, don't be out to late!" he called back to me

"I won't!"

"I have to use the bathroom real quick, wait out here for me" Max ran into the bathroom

"Ok" El smiled

"So um.. what happened with Mike?" I asked El

"He lied" She told me "Said his nana was sick"

"Is she not?" I asked

"No" El looked at the ground

"Hey, don't worry" I smiled "you have me and Max"

"Thank you y/n" She quickly pulled me into a hug

"Uh.. yeah" I chuckled "Y-you're welcome"

I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her back. A weird feeling in my stomach appeared out of nowhere. It felt as if you were going down hill on a roller coaster.

"You're a good friend" Eleven pulled away

"Th-thanks" I smiled "You are too"

"C'mon girls! Let's get some ice cream" Max said as she walked out of the bathroom

"Y-yeah" I rubbed the back of my neck

"C'mon y/n" El smiled

She quickly grabbed my hand and lead me towards Scoops Ahoy
