Ch. 20 "Monster"

Riley POV

The past few days sleep is something I grown unfamiliar with, I laid on the bed looking up at the ceiling,

I turned on my right side looking at the clock, 2Am

I turned on my left side looking out the window, I take a deep breath, I finally gave up sitting up, getting dressed and walking down stairs quietly,

I looked at all the books on the bookshelf I decided to read some shakespeare since I can't seem to sleep ever, I thought

I sat india style on the couch I look at the clock on the wall to see that it was 6:30AM

I closed the book putting it back on the shelf, I walked in the kitchen grabbing a apple sitting on the counter,

"What do you mean she's bloody gone?" I heard Rebekah say

I hear them walk down the stairs,

"I mean I went to check on her and she wasn't there," Kol said

"We must find her," Elijah said

I see them all walk past the kitchen, then they all stopped and turned around seeing them at the entrance of the kitchen, I just waved at them,

"Riley," Rebekah rushed at me bringing me into a bear hug,

"I was so worried about you!" she said

I looked at her confused,

"Why?" I asked

"Because of the events that happened yesterday," Elijah said

"Right.." I mumbled

"Now I think it's time for our talk about what happened," Klaus said crossing his arms,

We are all in the living room I'm sitting on the couch in the middle of Kol and Elijah,

For some odd reason I feel like I'm on trial, I thought

"So care to explain?" Klaus said sitting across from me,

"Okay, look sometimes on rare occasions," I said but stopped should I tell them,

"Continue," Elijah said

"I get this uncontrollable anger, and I black out sometimes, that's what that was yesterday," I said

I stood up,

"I need to be alone," I said walking out I walked and walked when finally I was a a cliff,

The pack that took me in all those years ago were right, I'm a monster, I thought

I had my arms crossed looking out at the sky, It was beautiful

"There you are darling," Kol's voice said

I looked at him,

"Why are you pushing us away darling?" Kol said looking at me concerned,

"Because..." I said still looking at the horizon,

I finally looked at him,

"Because I'm a monster," I said looking up at him realizing how much taller than me he is,

"Don't say that darling," He said looking at my sadly

"But it's true when the Coyote takes hold, I kill a lot of innocent people," I said

"Those hunters were far from innocent," Kol said

"But-" I said but was suddenly cut off by him bringing me into a hug,

"Don't talk about yourself that way darling, I won't stand for it," He said

With my head buried in his shoulder inhaling deeply taking in his scent for some odd reason it calms me down
