Prologue

Mga anino sa dilim. Tila mga nilalang na sa gabi lamang sumasalakay. Walang humpay sa paghabol sa akin na para bang hindi sila napapagod. Napakarami at ang bibilis nila! Hindi ko sila kakayanin!

"AHHH!!!" I screamed as I felt my barefoot step into spikes again. I didn't even dare to stop to remove all the thorns on my feet. It hurts so bad and my feet are starting to feel numb because of too much running.

A tear flowed again in my cheek as I saw the full moon. I'm still in the forest in the middle of the night. Because of the moon I could see at least what's in my front. Hindi ko na iniinda ang gutom, uhaw, pawis at pagod. Hindi ko rin magawang tumigil sa pagtakbo dahil sa oras na tumigil ako, mamamatay ako.

Ramdam na ramdam ko ang bawat sakit sa tuwing bumabangga sa mga puno at halaman ang mga sugat sa aking katawan. Punit-punit na rin ang school uniform na aking suot. Those dark creatures attacked me earlier. They attacked me with their bow and arrows, daggers, and even poisonous smokes. It seems like they are not chasing me to kill but to torture until I surrender and beg for my own death. Napahawak ako nang mahigpit sa kwintas na may maliit na bote na may lamang likido na s'yang binigay kanina sa akin ni inay. I already saw it glowing earlier and now it's glowing again.

"T-that fucker..."

All this time he fed me with his lies while all I did is to be kind to him and trusted him because he's my best friend! He's like a brother to me and the second most important person to me and yet he betrayed me! I hate them. They used me.

"I will never trust again." I could feel the cracks in my lips and the hoarseness of my voice because of my dry throat.

I swear to the heaven above I will survive and I will find to one who killed my mom. I will do whatever it is just to kill whoever they are!

Nang lumapat ang aking mga paa sa damuhan ay biglang lumiwanag ang aking tinatapakan hanggang sa kalangitan at unti-unti itong bumuo ng dalawang tila magic circle sa kalangitan at sa lupa.

Napa-aray ako nang mahulog ang aking katawan sa damuhan. Tila hindi naman nagbago ang aking paligid, nasa madilim na kagubatan pa rin ako.

"N-nasaan ako—"

Namilog ang aking mga mata nang biglang lumitaw sa harapan ko at sa aking likuran ang mga nilalang na humahabol sa akin kanina. My hands and feet started to feel cold even more as they start to approach me. They are like shadows, they're all black, no face or even clothes like the humans have.

"AHHHH!!"

Before they could even attack me, suddenly a splash of blood painted my face. A huge man in black appeared in front of me. He looks like a bloodthirsty monster.

Sinusundo na yata ako ni kamatayan.

In just a blink of an eye, all those creatures in my sight disappeared like a smoke. I gulped when I saw his red eyes glowing as he looks in my direction. I felt shivers down my spine as he walked towards me.

Mamamatay na ba agad ako na hindi man lang naipaghihiganti ang aking ina?

Muling namilog ang aking mga mata nang bigla n'yang itaas ang kan'yang sandata habang nakatingin sa akin upang muling umatake. Maya-maya pa ay bigla na lamang nagdilim ang aking paningin.
