3rd Person POV

Nolan had been settling nicely with his surroundings just as most of the perfection dolls had done. It was almost an adventure to look through the gorgeous sights of Uglyville, as much as their name talked through the villagers, it definitely didn't with the landscape. So much light and color did nothing but excite Nolan.

If he was being honest, it would've been nice to have been introduced to Uglyville the day he was made, not only that, but everyone was so incredibly nice.

Well, if you can give exceptions to an ignorant snobby doll here and there.

Finally finishing up to another day of pure bliss, Nolan sighed tiredly. The dolls had chosen to have another one of their full-blown out parties for about 4 hours long. Nolan's house was pretty far as they'd decided to host it on the edge of the town. Due to his considerably long walk back home it had just about struck 12:30, and the dolls loved having a strict schedule to sleep at about 10 to 11 so all dolls could be up and animated for the next day. Of course, as much as Nolan was wholly tired by this, he was in all sincerity quite content with the life he was now able to live. Dolls moving around liberally, everyone remaining friends no matter how large or petite, how unusual or alike. If he was remaining honest, it was much better than being restricted and being strained to be nothing but a people pleaser.

Yet at the same time, now that no one was there to swiftly call out anything stupid he might've said, it was a lot more stressful to keep his composure without immediately taking things back if he sought them as dense or uncivil.

His friends didn't seem to mind and laugh at his bashfulness before trying to remind him that they honestly didn't care, yet Nolan was still quite inexperienced. It's unexpected how people can directly switch the way they see someone else after a single event. Just when he was put into the institute he was promptly identified as nothing but ugly, barely anyone had chosen to even glance at him. Now, people were strolling around addressing him in such a friendly way, heck, he was even getting compliments about his appearance now that people were much more open about what they believed and felt. Still, he couldn't help but distrust it sincerely, and he still gets a little flushed at any recognition he gets.

He had gotten himself a few pals and had been moderately well-known around the place you could say. He hadn't received a child as he felt he hadn't been quite ready for such a responsibility, so he decided to make himself useful and assist with some of the shops. He was there when a fellow doll needed him, and all and all was a very considerate guy.

As much as it was foolish of him, even after 7 months of remaining in the homely town, he couldn't help but worry for his former leader. No one had gone into contact with him for days, weeks, more than that. Nolan couldn't help but feel like everyone was taking this quite too far, and he felt unwise. How could he have been heartless enough to put Lou into that washer? Putting the man through a punishment made him just as bad as he was, no matter how much the cruel blonde deserved it.

He considered if he was being unreasonable as he had had a remarkable sort of romantic feelings towards Lou. I mean, who didn't? But it had come to the resolution that Nolan had probably not have been okay with it no matter who it was.

Nolan had been clear to both his friends Mandy and Moxy about his concerns, but the two of them responded with the absolute same thing. 'If he wanted to come back he had to go through his punishment and be truly sorry' they'd tell me. I think it's unfair. If that was the case, then why wasn't anyone there to see if he was apologetic? Putting him in confinement won't do anything but make his position more detrimental.
