Sharelle POV:
"Wake up Rells. It's time for school." I opened my eyes and saw my Grandaddy looking down at me.
"Morning Grandaddy."
He gave me a slight smile. "Get up or you are going to miss the bus and I ain't dropping you to school."
"Yes sir"
I crawled out of bed and into the adjoining bathroom. I took a warm bath and pulled on my new school uniform. I looked at myself in the mirror.
"Eh, it would have looked better with my Nike's or my new Jordans."
I walked out of my room into the hallway.
Me and my Grandaddy lived in a cabin like house. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, and kitchen.
If my Grandaddy had a wife she would probably be cooking something delicious right now. But instead, I was met with a cup of Milo on the kitchen table. ~Sigh~
My Grandaddy needs a woman.
I looked at the clock. 6:40. I did a double-take. 6:40!!!!
I haven't even packed my bag yet!!
I rushed through the house like my hair-no, like my new Jordans were on fire and my school books were the only thing that could quench the fire.
My Grandaddy was no help whatsoever he just stood there looking at me with this weird look in his eyes. As if he was looking into the past or something. Antiways! I don't have time for this right now. I finally found my books and got to the bus stop a few seconds before the bus came.
~Phew~ That was a close one!
When I got to school I went straight to the bathroom.
When I finished I realized: THERE'S NO SOAP IN THE BATHROOM!
What in the world is going on?
Luckily, I brought hand sanitizer. My Grammy always makes pack it. She doesn't live with me and Granddaddy, she lives by herself. I don't think she should be living alone, but I guess it's her decision. Every weekend I visit her, so at least she's not alone all the time.
I wonder why her and Granddaddy aren't together anymore?
I walked out of the bathroom and saw this girl walk by. I was in shock because, well, she looked like me! We could definitely be related!
A dark-skinned girl turned and looked at her then at me and said
"Zelly, I didn't know you had a clone!"
She's funny, we are definitely going to be friends. My could be twin just stared at me and said
"Neither did I."
Silence. It needed to be filled, and since neither of them looked like they were going to anytime soon I guess I will.
"So" me and my 'clone' chorused. That was...weird.
"Um...hi." Nice one Relly, now she thinks you are shy.
"Hey." the girl, Zelly I think said.
Before I could even think my words through, I blurted "Why do you look like me?"
At first she looked shocked, then she laughed.
"I was wondering the same thing. Who's your mommy?"
Adults are usually the ones who ask you about your family, but maybe she was just a little mature for her age?
"She died when I was 2." I stated nonchalantly.
"Oh?"
"Who's your mommy?" I said, hoping to look a little mature myself.
"She died in a car crash....when I was....2" she said, while looking at me skeptically.
"No way!"
"Um, Yeah."
"Do you think we could be cousins or sisters or something?" I said bouncing slightly.
"Maybe, I doubt it though."
I realized I was still standing in the bathroom.
~Awkward~
As soon as I stepped out the bell rang. Time for Homerooom.
The Zelly girl gave me a weak smile.
"Wanna walk with us?"
I remembered the other girl. She gave me a weird look. As if she was trying to smile but she couldn't make her face cooperate.
"Her name is Tina" when Tina saw Zelly turn to her, her face finally decided to cooperate and she sent me a toothy megawatt smile. Obviously fake. I hate fake.
"Oh, hi Tina. I'm Sharelle." I said giving her a small smile.
Zelly gasped.
"What?" I asked.
"My name is, Shazelle!"
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
