Nationals Here We Come (A TNS Season 7 Story)

Part 2

A quick note:
-I'm going to try to post more frequently and or longer parts. (This part is kind of short, sorry but future ones will be longer) I know, in the past, when I use to read fanfic I hated waiting or forgetting things that happened before because of a big gap in parts, so I will try my best :) Enjoy!

After about an hour, Emily and Michelle, head out of the office with the list.

"For female soloists we have Summer, Piper, Richelle, and Jacquie auditioning. For male soloists it looks like only two people signed up, Noah and Ozzy. Do any other males want to sign up?" Emily says as she glances around the room. Nobody raises their hand, "Okay, well then we will start with Summer first."

Summer heads to the middle of the room

SUMMER: I'm pretty nervous to be going up first but I am glad to get it out of the way although I can feel Richelle and Jacquie's eyes on the back of my head.

Summer performs a contemporary solo to the song Low.

"I hate to admit but that solo was really good," Jacquie whispers to Richelle.
"Yeah but we are better," Richelle tells Jacquie. Noah shakes his head and leans over towards them.
"I thought you guys changed from last season," Noah whispers to them.
"We have Noah, don't worry," Richelle says as she gives him a smile. Noah goes back into his spot.
"Next up we will have Piper," Emily announces.
"Yeah,go Pipes," Finn shouts.
"Finn," Piper says as he gives him a stern look and her face turns a little red. Finn smiles back unclear of the tone of the situation.

PIPER: Finn is so clueless sometimes but his support means everything. He gave me a little pep talk and it has definitely boosted my confidence

Piper performs her solo to the song Not Another Love Song and includes a few new tricks.

"Did you know Piper got her front aerial?" Richelle asks Jacquie
"No. She must have been putting in a lot of work on our week off," Jacquie says.
"Thank you Piper, that was great. Next we will have Jacquie," Michelle announces.
"Go break a leg, Jacquie," Richelle tells her.
"Do you mean that figuratively or literally? Jacquie says while walking to the center of the floor and turning back around to Richelle.Richelle gives her a smile and Jacquie smirks back.

Jacquie performs her solo to Brave and when she is done she walks over to Noah and he gives her a hug.

"That was great Jacquie," Noah tells her.
"Thank you Noah."

"Alright Richelle, you are the last to go," Emily says as she jots down a few things on her pad of paper.

"Would you like a good luck kiss?" Ozzy says as he slyly walks over.
"Not now Ozzy," Richelle says as she brushes by him and takes the center of the floor.

RICHELLE: I originally had one solo planned but after seeing Piper's solo I have to do more if I want to be the female soloist at nationals.

Richelle performs her solo to Addicted To You and when her solo ends she gives a glance over to Summer and then smiles.

"I don't understand Richelle sometimes," Summer tells Kenzie.
"We all don't understand her sometimes," Kenzie tells Summer as she lets out a chuckle.

Richelle walks over back to Jacquie and they hug.
"That was great Richelle," Jacquie says.
"Yeah, I know."
"I forgot to not feed into your ego."
"Yeah, then you're to blame for that."
"I swear I love and hate you sometimes."
"Love you Jacquie," Richelle says as she blows her kiss.

"Thank you Summer, Piper, Jacquie, and Richelle. Your auditions were great," Michelle says.

SUMMER: I did my best and hopefully Michelle and Emily saw that in my audition.

PIPER: That was hands down one of the best solos I've ever performed. I feel good about my chances.

RICHELLE: Michelle and Emily would be crazy not to pick me.

JACQUIE: They'd be crazy not to pick me!
