We were running in the forest , i felt so weak and my mark was hurting me , i looked at seonghwa who was in the first line next to san meanwhile i was in the third line .
The rogues started showing in our way in packs , there was at least seventy of them , their eyes either green , yellow and few of them had red eyes meaning they are alphas which was rare , it is gonna be a bloody fight
' get ready , kill them without hesitation , wait till they attack don't attack them first ' the alpha said through the link and everyone stopped moving , the rogues started surrounding us , i felt the eyes of some of them on me which for some reason made me shiver .
when the first wolf moved , san gave the sign by acting just afterward and ripping the head of the rogue off his head , i sometimes forget how strong san is , and like that the fight started , the same wolves of earlier attacked me and i managed to back away from their fangs
' why the heck am i running away ? i must attack'
i tried to make my wolf come out and run toward them but my eyes didn't glow red and my attack was weak , so weak that it was so easy for them to knock me down on the floor which made me shift to my human form , it's the end , i closed my eyes ready to die when i felt the weight of the wolf off me then i heard him whimper , when i opened my eyes i was seonghwa standing in front of me , killing every wolf in the way , my eyes got teary and this time i didn't hold back
' are you okay ? ' i heard seonghwa ask and i didn't answer feeling pathetic and ashamed in the same time , i raised my knees to my chest and cried silently not caring if any other wolf would attack
after i don't know how much , the fight ended with our pack winning of course , san doesn't lead losers .
i felt arms lifting me up and it was him
" i am going back first san " i heard my mate say , i didn't dare look at him not at all
" is he okay ? " san asked
" he is just losing his wolf " i looked up at him confused and he looked down then looked away and started running
' what does he mean by i am losing my wolf ?'
" if i were you i would save that energy to recover instead of thinking " he said without looking at me
when we arrived home , he took me to his room and laid me gently on the bed
" why are you so kind all of a sudden , are you having pity on me ? " i asked with teary eyes and shaky voice
" because i am responsible of you " he said tapping the mark and i winced loudly , he ignored it and started heading out , i turned to the other side , i don't want him to see me cry , i closed my eyes but opened them when i felt his breath on my neck which made me jump of the bed , he looked at me with questioning eyes and i looked away , he stood up and came closer before pulling me toward him
" seo-"
" stay still " he said sternly and obliged , i obeyed , he started licking the mark gently , which was supposed to make it heal , i felt the warmth of his hold and my cries escaped from me , he stopped for a second
" shhh , don't cry " he whispered to me then went back to what he was doing
he laid me down again and this time i tried to be brave and held his wrist which made him look at me
" please stay " i said and he sat down next to me not pulling his hand away , before i slept i made sure to tell him the word i wanted to say
" sorry hwa ..."
