LUCAS

My life is chaos and darkness. Birth with catastrophe, and raised in to a world of turmoil. Wearing a mask of deceiving glee, and with a pandemonium heart, beating with envy and resentment. Grief runs through my veins; living in a replicate paradise, breathing with ashes.

In the beginning I thought everything was perfect; I was welcome by a good fortune—colorful and bright, excellence and supremacy...

Until one day, in just a blink of an eye it all went doomed.

It all started when I was ten. I still remember everything so clearly.

"Lauricio, ano na ang gagawin natin? Hinahabol na tayo ng mga investors?"

"Huminahon ka, Lucil! Hindi ako makapag-isip ng magandang paraan kung ganyan ka!"

"Paanong hindi ako magkakaganito? Patong-patanong na ang kasong isinampa sayo! Paano na ang pamilya natin?" mom yelled hesterically.

That was the first time I saw my parents argue. At that time, I wasn't still aware of what is happening.

My dad took a deep breath before speaking again. "Kung hindi dahil sa mga sakim na pamilya ng mga Ylvania, hindi tayo magkakaganito. They Tricked me! Mga demonyo sila!"

Ang unang away nila ay na sundan pa ng nasundan hanggang sa isang gabi my mom was already asking for a divorce.

"Bakit, Lucil? Dahil ba mas mayaman na 'yang demonyong Ylvania na 'yan sa akin? Baka nakakalimutan mo, hindi talaga sa kanya ang lahat ng yaman na meron siya ngayon. Pumanaw lang ang kapatid niya, kaya siya ang namamahala sa lahat ng naiwan nito, at siya din ang dahilan kung bakit bumabagsak ang negosyo ko!" My dad was in full rage at that night kaya nasaktan niya si mom.

Hindi ko alam na sa mga oras na 'yon noon, patong-patong na ang problema ni dad sa negosyo dahil sa kademonyohan ng mga Ylvania at dumagdag pa ang walang kwentang kong ina, she left my dad just to remarry an evil man from the family who betrayed my dad.

I was shocked when I saw my dad  maltreated my mom.
"Stop it, dad! Please!" I said in between my sobs.

"If y-you're going to divorce, I will leave and will never come back!" I threatened them, and then I run away. Gusto kung takasan ang lahat ng nakita ko, I felt like I had witnessed a real life nightmare. I was so weak and a scared little boy. I don't want my family to get ruined, if that will happen, paano kami ng kapatid ko? Rebelling is the only thing that I could think of, I want to show them how painful for a child to have a broken family. Kung sisirain nilang dalawa 'yon, mabuting ako na mismo ang gagawa para tuluyan kaming masira.

"Luke, anak, please come back!" They run after me but it was all to late, I was already outside our house, and little did I know, I was going to be trapped from my own rebelliousness. I wasn't aware that a group of bandits are just waiting outside, and when they saw me, they were able to successfully captured me.

Dahan-dahan kong iminulat ang mga mata ko. I was still feeling daze.

"Bata, ayos ka lang?" I saw a young girl kneeling on the ground looking down at me. She looks a little younger than me.

Bumangon ako at inilibot ko ang paningin sa paligid. "Where am I? Where's mom and dad?"
