Five Years Old.

Hide and Seek.

That was my plan.

A plan that was quite full proof if I do say so myself.

Henry thought it was stupid. But the little bitch has no say. As if he can think of something better.

So basically, we were at the Lakehouse for two weeks into the summer and Henry cane with. Polly decided to remain in town with Vicky and Matt as she had them settle in.

After the incident, Kelly Donavan was deemed unfit to raise, Vicky and Matt. And since no one could find Matt's dad, Polly was the closest living relative. Since no one knew who Vicky's father was, Polly adopted her officially.

I genuinely liked Vicky and I realize that she most likely won't fall into the drug trap if she grows up in a stable home, with good friends and people who care for her.

Besides, Polly would more than likely rip out her tongue if she even attempted it.

Henry was the only one unhappy with the situation because every morning he woke up and Matt was there. Because they had shared a room until Polly got a bigger place.

And because I couldn't sleep over as much as I use to.

Ya, Henry wasn't in the most chipper of moods.

"This isn't going to work, Elena," Henry grumbled as we ran through the house in an attempt to hide from Jeremy as he counted downstairs.

"Yes, it will, Why you such a pessimist?" I snapped as we ran into my parent's room where I remembered the cache of weapons was hidden.

"Well, the last time I was so bloody optimistic, I got mauled to death by wolves!" He snapped back and I paused to look at him with a contemplative expression.

Shit.

"I'm not leading you into a pack of wolves, you little shit," I clipped off icily.

"Not now you're not."

I exhaled sharply through my nose, "I'd never do that unless I knew you ready for that."

"I'm not."

"So no wolves," I stated. It was that easy. Besides, it was t like we were going to face down any wolves at the moment. We're like five.

"The only wolf you'll have to deal with is Tyler, he's u triggered and maybe his uncle if you see him. He won't trigger his curse for a long while, can we now focus on the task on hand now, or do I have to wrap you in bubble wrap next time we leave the house?"

Giving him a meaningful look I stood on my toes and opened the closet door before shoving him inside. He stumbled in I and followed closing the door behind me, just as Jeremy yelled out. "Ready or not here I come!"

"Give me a boost," I asked him in the dark, I heard him sigh as we maneuvered in the dark, stepping on his cupped hands he boosted me up with a grunted, I grabbed a hold of the string to the light bulb and pulled, orange light filled the room and Henry was quick to drop me to the ground.
