How ViVi turned into an android is one of the biggest unsolved mysteries within the LOONAverse. Until we get a confirmed answer as to what happened to her, we may never know. But there have been a couple of popular theories surrounding this theory, and that's what I'll be discussing here.
So let's start with what is arguably the most popular theory...
Did Olivia kill ViVi?

When the question of how ViVi became an android gets brought up, nine times out of ten you're likely to hear this theory. This was also the theory I personally signed onto when creating my breakdown of the timeline.
The gist of this theory is that Olivia killed ViVi out of spite towards Yves since she abandoned her in Eden and took Chuu and Gowon with her.
Now there's actually not much evidence that supports this. Most fans point to a particular shot in Olivia's solo video "Egoist" as a hint towards this, where we see a close-up of an animal eye, and everyone suspected it was a deer.

Coupled with some shots of what appears to be Olivia washing blood off her hands, her red eyes, and other destructive actions (along with the "prey vs predator" dynamic of their respective animals), led fans to theorize she killed her.
However, it was recently pointed out in a video by Youtube channel "Loominosity" that the close-up was not a deer eye, but a wolf (Olivia's representative animal).
The harsh filter made it hard to distinguish, thus many people, including myself, misinterpreted it as being a deer.
With this knowledge in mind now, I find it less likely that Olivia could have killed ViVi. There are other smaller theories like "Yves killed ViVi" or "Jinsoul killed ViVi," but I don't see either of these being likely either.
The 1/3 members turned ViVi into an android
This is a less common theory and not as popular as the first one, but is an interesting idea nonetheless.
