WHEN HER days started with a phone call, she knew something was wrong or going to go wrong. She huffed as threw her jean jacket over her shoulders, exiting her room as she switched the phone in her hand off of speaker,

"Okay, slow down, Sunshine." Finch said to her friend on the phone, "I'll be there in fifteen minutes. Can you rant angrily when I get there?" She asked as she jogged down the stairs of her house and into the kitchen where her brother was

"Fine!" The blonde grumbled from the phone, "Bye be quick about it!"

"Of course." She hummed as she pulled a piece of chocolate licorice from the open bag on the kitchen island, "Ill see you soon."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

Caroline hung up, and Finch stuffed her phone into her back pocket, "Morning." She muttered as she pulled open the fridge

"You're in a rush." Fawkes noted, sipping his coffee

"Caroline is freaking out over something she deemed important and she needs my help appearantly." She explained, pulling a water bottle from the fridge and closed it as she turned to face it

Fawkes smiled, "She really likes you, huh?" He chuckles

"Appearantly." She pauses, "You're not going to school again?"

"No. No, not today." He replied shaking his head

A sudden pain rocked through Finch's shoulders and back as she scrunched up her nose before coming up behind her brother and placing her chin on his shoulder, "Take your time, big brother. You don't need to rush into anything." She pressed a kiss to his cheek, "Even Superman takes off his suit sometimes."

Fawkes leaned back agianst her a little, "I love you, Finny."
