The war of the three

3. The goodbyes.

 The first one to give up was Peeta.

"Katniss is all I have left..." he started

"Peeta, no" I said

"I'm sorry Al, but I can't loose her too"

He ran in direction of the dungeons.

I blinked some tears away.

To my surprise, the next one to go was Hermione.

She got up went to the door.

" After all we been thru, I can't leave them alone" She quickly said.

Before I could say anything she ran to the stairs that lead to the Gryffindor tower.

I tear strolled down my cheek.

I looked directly at Annabeth's storm grey eyes and I knew it immediately.

She was going with Percy.

She was leaving me too.

"He is not getting away from me, not again."

"Anna-" I started

"Alexandra, stop" she cut me of

"Don't say anything, Its not going to work. You're not going to be able to stop me and you know it" Her voice was unsteady and I could see the tears forming in her eyes.

She ran out the door and I guess she was going to the Hufflepuff common room.

What she said was true, and it hurt bad. Annabeth was my first cousin once removed, but she and I had grown to be like sisters both of us being demigods in Ravenclaw and all that.

I started sobbing and hugged Nico.

It felt good knowing he would stay.

That my brother wouldn't betray me.

"How could they do this to us!?" I said thru sobs

"Sis..." He started.

I could hear it, I could hear the guilt in his voice.

I broke our hug.

"No!" I said.

"Al I..."

"No!, you are not leaving me!" I could feel the hot tears strolling down my cheeks.

"Al, Percy is family..."

"What the Hades Nico!? You are going to use that on me!?" I felt the anger rising in me.

"Alex..."

"Of all you could have said! You had to say that!" I could feel myself turning red from anger.

"Nico! I'm family too! Gods! I'm your sister!"

"Alexandra, I..."

" Nicks, you can't do this to me." I said bursting in tears.

"I can't do this alone, I can't stop them!" I cried

"Then don't! Come with me, let's go with Perce , he needs us." He said taking my hands in his.

I slowly slipped my hands out of his.

" I can't do that Nicks, Perce might be blood family,but Harry and Katniss are my family too"

"They've always had my back" I said.

I could see Nico was really hurt, It hurt me as well, but I just couldn't do it.

"Fine then, but take this."  he said handing me a black moon necklace.

"Nico, Its beautiful!" I squealed.

"I was going to give it to you for your birthday, but I guess this moment is better" He said. And put the necklace on me.

I handed him the ring I got him for his birthday that was a few days before mine.

"Figured you'd like it when I saw it! So... happy birthday!" I said.

"I love it" he said putting it on.

"So i guess this is goodbye..." he said

"I love you" I said hugging him tightly.

" I love you too" he said placing a kiss in my forehead.

Then he followed the same path as Annabeth.

That's it, I thought. I'm on my own now.
